UAF CTC's core purpose is community driven education focusing on workforce development, academic preparation, and lifelong learning. Our Process Technology faculty bring years of experience in various fields within the process industry to train and prepare students for exciting careers within the process industry. Process industries include oil and gas production, chemical manufacturing, petroleum refining, mining and milling, power generation and utilities, waste and wastewater treatment, and seafood and other food processing. As these industries expand and automate, the need for technicians with additional specialization increases; this position will help equip our students to meet those needs.
To thrive in this position, you will use your demonstrated qualifications in one or more Process Technology Industries or fields such as: chemical, oil and gas, occupational health and safety, power generation, food processing, waste water, or mineral processing operations. Your knowledge and skill in using computer-based training, safety training and computer simulation of industrial processes will be used daily. Your demonstrated experience working collaboratively with industry and community partners will be invaluable for student success and the program's continued growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree with two (2) years process technology experience OR any associate degree with extensive industry experience OR a combination of appropriate education and experience.
* Minimum three years experience in Process Operations.

Faculty are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate statistics courses to a diverse student body, develop a vibrant research program, supervise graduate students, provide statistical consulting to the university research community, and serve on departmental and university committees. The successful applicant will find numerous opportunities for collaboration with UAF faculty and state and federal agency scientists working in areas such as ecology, fisheries and wildlife science, geology and geophysics, engineering and mathematics education.
As a tenure-track Department member the successful candidate will teach introductory and upper-division undergraduate courses in statistics, as well as graduate courses in statistical theory and applications, to a mix of majors and non-majors. The typical teaching load will be 4 courses per 9 month academic year. Research in statistical theory and/or applications that meets national and international standards is expected, including publication of peer-reviewed articles, books, and monographs. The goal of quality research is most important, but sustained production is also expected. For applicants with an applied research area, collaboration with a broader research community is appropriate and encouraged. Presentation of research at conferences and workshops is expected, and pursuit of competitive grants is encouraged.

UAF Community & Technical College is looking for an innovative Term Assistant Professor to support both our Diesel/Heavy Equipment and Automotive Technology programs. Teaching assignments may be during day, evening and/or weekend periods, may include off-campus and rural assignments and may include seminars and other special trainings. This position is term funded through June 30 and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
The UAF Community and Technical College's Automotive and Diesel Heavy Equipment programs emphasize hands-on training and in-class experience. Students work on a variety of vehicles and large trucks, electrical and air systems, diesel and gas engines, engine electronics, transmissions, differentials, crawler tractor undercarriages, steering and final drives. Our faculty members' level of teaching, outreach and service efforts help maintain the integrity of the program within the community and ensure the quality of program graduates. The program's credibility rests on this integrity, as does the placement of graduates who look to local community organizations for post-graduate employment.
CTC's Automotive program is nationally certified by NATEF (National Automotive Technicians
Education Foundation) for its General Service Technician training.
To thrive in this role, you will be SAE certified and recognized by our industry partners as having the ability to teach the required courses in a competent and safe manner. Your recent experience in the automotive field (10 years or more) as well as with diesel / heavy equipment instruction or maintenance will be used on a daily basis as you prepare your students for success..

- Current ASE Master Automobile Technician Certification

This position is located at the UAF Community and Technical College in Fairbanks. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Instructor/ Assistant Professor of Information Technology and Office Management is responsible for managing, facilitating, and overseeing the Information Technology and Office Management Programs, including curriculum development, teaching, assessment, academic advising, and recruiting adjunct instructors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates and develops new courses and certificates aligned with the Information Technology and Office Management Programs.
Performs College-level instruction in the appropriate discipline in Utqiaġvik (formerly Barrow) and the outlying villages, as required.
Delivers select courses in the fields of Office Management, Business Management, and Information Technology in multiple modalities (synchronous and asynchronous; via Moodle [LMS], Zoom/Teams, classroom-based, and other formats).
Develops and innovates new curriculum and engages in program development and/or revision as necessary, in tandem and under guidance from the Dean of Academic Affairs.
Serves as academic advisor to Informational Technology and Office Management students.
Evaluates student performance and submits appropriate grades and reports, as required.
Develops and maintains relevant and current curriculum.
Completes annual degree and program assessments and data collection necessary to remain compliant with accreditation standards.
Maintains active communication with program advisory committee(s).
Participates in professional development, as appropriate.
Completes reports and presentations, and attends meetings and special events, as required.
Travels occasionally as required for professional development or student recruitment.
Prepares and maintains updated instructional materials, course outlines, and curriculum.

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is dedicated to promoting a culture of learning through effective teaching practices, deeper student engagement, and fostering university-wide partnerships. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a key support role, providing direct assistance to faculty, developing engaging, high-quality online course materials, and managing faculty requests and communication within the department. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our online and hybrid learning environments. The right candidate will join our team of creative, motivated, and highly-skilled designers and support professionals in a collaborative, innovation-centered work environment.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will bring a collaborative spirit and a passion for supporting effective teaching and learning. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and a willingness to learn new technologies are highly valued. Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with instructors and colleagues are essential. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, on-campus, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.

Adjunct faculty teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in accounting. All applicants are expected to commit to teaching excellence. Qualified candidates are expected to develop a unique and engaging curriculum. Teaching may be conducted face-to-face, online, or a hybrid of the two.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in accounting preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in the area of accounting. Candidates with a professional certification are preferred.
Teaching experience and/or professional experience in a related field. Courses may be offered in-person or online.
Position Details:
This is a part-time position. Salary rates are $1,755.33 per credit hour; most semester-based courses are 3 credit hours for a total salary of $5,266 for a single course.
