THE ROLE: We are seeking a skilled financial analyst to join our Global Operations & Quality Finance team, with a primary focus on managing the inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) financial close process. This role will collaborate with Global Operations and Segment Business Units to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and consolidation of inventory and COGS. The analyst will play a key part in supporting the company's inventory, COGS and gross margin reporting through rigorous financial close activities and insightful analysis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead and execute the monthly and quarterly financial close process for inventory and COGS, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards * Prepare, review, and analyze inventory and COGS reports, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement * Partner with cross-functional teams to support reporting and consolidation activities, including automation and process improvement initiatives * Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis and ad hoc reporting related to inventory and COGS as requested by management * Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring system accuracy and compliance with established guidelines. * Support external audit and controls engagement, including preparing PBCs (Provided by Client lists), facilitating testing, and responding to auditor inquiries. * Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with financial regulations. * Drive presentations and reporting to executive management for inventory and COGS financial inputs PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong financial modeling skill is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point is preferred * Strong analytical and organizational skills * Good understanding of financial concepts and US GAAP accounting principles * Excellent understanding of/or skills with financial planning & reporting systems. SAP experience is preferable.
