Use proper cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces in accordance with OSHA regulation and The Retreat Center procedures

Make beds and replace bed linens, bath linens and kitchen linens

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses industry standard housekeeping products, cleaning solutions and equipment. In addition, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to an outdoor environment on 3,500 acres of South Georgia coastal woodlands, to include intercostal waterways, swamps and dense forests. Encounters with various wildlife (feral hogs, deer, snakes, alligators, spiders, ticks, mosquitos and other insects) are common.
Physical Demands
This role requires a mixture of physical demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel or crouch. The employee must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time (up to eight hours) and the ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to lift items of up to 15 pounds, bend and stand, load and unload laundry apparatuses. Extreme summer heat as well as cold, wet winters are expected.

Must be able to work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.

Be knowledgeable in all areas to ensure business processes are followed and informed enough to manage when staff are on leave or between positions.
Ensure that all licensing, accreditation, and agency policies, procedures and required documentation are met.
Maintain American Camp Association Accreditation standards and documentation annually.
Prepare all related materials necessary for Agency Quality Assurance program.
Monitor Health Department compliance and water system compliance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of education, recreation or closely related human service field is required. A minimum of three years camp or youth serving experience showing progressive growth in responsibilities is required.
