Section II - Description of Duties Performed:
General Summary of Duties Performed
The Park County Community & Volunteer Coordinator leads HRDC's communication, outreach, and volunteer engagement efforts to strengthen community connections and support agency-wide collaboration. This position serves as a vital link between HRDC programs, local partners, and residents-promoting awareness of HRDC's mission and ensuring effective internal communication across teams. The Coordinator also manages senior volunteer recruitment and placement, fostering meaningful opportunities for community members aged 55+ to contribute their time and skills in service to others.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Community Engagement & Outreach (40%)
Represent HRDC at community meetings, events, and trainings to maintain a visible and trusted presence in Park County.
Serve as a local point of contact for all HRDC programs, providing information and promoting access to services through public speaking, outreach, and education.
Collaborate with the Resource Development team to support fundraising, outreach, and community events that reflect the unique needs and strengths of Park County.
Participate in community needs assessments and help identify resources, partnerships, and opportunities that align with HRDC's mission.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, schools, and service providers to support coordinated community response and shared goals.
Work closely with the Communications team to develop local messaging, outreach materials, and service summaries tailored for Park County.
2. Volunteer Coordination (RSVP Program and General HRDC Volunteer Engagement) (30%)
Recruit, interview, and place senior (55+) volunteers through the RSVP program, as well as community volunteers of all ages, in positions that match their interests, skills, and the needs of HRDC programs and partners.
Develop and maintain partnerships with nonprofits, schools, and community agencies to identify and create volunteer opportunities, negotiate volunteer s and contracts, and strengthen HRDC's regional volunteer network.
Provide orientation and training for new volunteers and ongoing support to ensure positive experiences, meaningful engagement, and alignment with HRDC's mission and values.
Collaborate with HRDC program staff to understand volunteer needs across the organization, coordinate scheduling, and ensure consistent communication and support for volunteers and staff.
Monitor volunteer placements, collect and analyze data on volunteer hours and impact, and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping using computer-based systems.
Plan and assist with annual volunteer recognition events, community appreciation efforts, and media outreach celebrating the impact of volunteers across HRDC.
Support fundraising and grant efforts by helping collect data, identify new funding opportunities, and contribute to reports and proposals related to the RSVP program and overall volunteer engagement
3. Internal Communication & Team Coordination (20%)

Support day-to-day operations of the Park County office to ensure a welcoming, professional, and efficient environment.

Maintain accurate files on volunteers, partner sites, and outreach activities.
Provide general administrative support, assist with correspondence, and help ensure smooth coordination of local office activities.

This includes the alignment of dual credit offerings and promotion of academic pathways. • Track credential attainment for High School faculty and University and City College faculty as appropriate for High School connections and University connections course delivery for all MSUB courses. • Collaborate with the Director of Dual enrollment to ensure students in secondary schools are provided with and supported in their desire to attain college level academic credentials. • Collaborate with Admissions office to provide pathways for high school students to enter City College and MSU Billings academic programs. • Collaborate with Student Access and Success staff and Jacket Student Central staff to support high school student enrollment and advisement. 4. Curriculum Development and Assessment Initiatives • Ensure timely and complete curricular review and program/student assessment to inform the strategic planning and decision-making process Coordinate revisions of the City College catalog in partnership with Student Access and Success staff, Jacket Student Central staff, and department chairs. • In collaboration with Jacket Student Central and program directors, ensure equitable and consistent program admissions process for student entrance to competitive programs • Ensure identification and assessment of program outcomes for continuous quality improvement • Support planning efforts regarding recommending new curriculum development and assessing curriculum and program offerings in collaboration with faculty and program advisory committees. • Work closely with City College Budget Manager and department chairs to support planning, tracking, and assessment of budgets to support the College's academic programs and services. • Participating in the City College Curriculum Committee meetings in support of City College curriculum changes and program development • Partner with faculty and program advisory committees to evaluate and develop new program offerings. • In the Dean's absence, represent City College on the MUS Two Year Council to address dual credit, common course numbering, and other issues as they arise. 5. Accreditation Compliance und Reporting • Work with department chairs, program directors, and faculty to ensure NWCCU and individual program accreditations are maintained. • Support and administer the policies of MSU Billings, Board of Regents, Montana. Data Analysis and Reporting for Strategic Decision Making • Assist the Dean with analysis of data involving enrollment, retention, Completion, Perkins effectiveness, CCSSE results and data generated from advisory committees and annual program reports to inform the College's strategic planning process. 7. Student Recruitment and Retention • Work with Student Access and Success to use data from CCSSE reports, annual reports, advisory boards, Perkins data and other data sources to develop and support retention goals and action plans, • Create new opportunities for the College to improve its access to adult and nontraditional markets through course scheduling delivery opportunities in conjunction with department chairs. and faculty. • Collaborate with University Communications and the Office of Admissions to plan, develop, implement and evaluate strategic enrollment marketing campaigns and enrollment development partnerships. • Ensure new and existing faculty get training on academic advising processes, policies, and programs to assist City College students through graduation and to guide those students who want to transition to the University to pursue a four-year degree. 8. Strategic Partnership and Grant Development • Support the Dean in providing leadership to represent the College in partnerships and collaboration with Billings School District 2, Career Center, and Adult Ed and area secondary schools. • Foster academic support of new workforce development and industry collaboration opportunities with the College's workforce training initiatives and grants. • Grow University transition opportunities through working with faculty and department chairs to develop new programs, program articulations, and by increasing program alignment with university bachelor programs. • Participate in MUS level initiatives and strategic planning where appropriate. 9. Assist with the daily pick up of donations from local retailers.

The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) is a transdisciplinary team member that holds expertise in addiction and recovery interventions for individuals diagnosed with severe and disabling mental illnesses (SDMI). PACT LACs are out in the community, working one-on-one with clients, advocating for the promotion of client healing, self-determination, education, and awareness around one's mental health and co-occurring diagnoses, leading to stabilization and integration.
A day in the life of a PACT LAC includes providing positive role modeling through professionalism, timeliness, use of ethical reflection, the ability to maintain flexibility and a commitment to appropriate and direct communication. Our PACT LACs embrace, develop, and implement recovery-based principles with clients, the PACT team, and other clinical voices. LACs also complete clinical documentation, assessments, evaluations, participate in the creation of treatment plans, check in with clients to monitor baseline, assist with providing medication prompts, facilitate individual and group recovery, and other various tasks that break up the day and energize your work.

* Designs and produces documents, forms, reports and data graphs for projects and programs based on needs identified by the staff and/or leadership. Duties include data gathering, database extractions, and data analysis for various projects and preparation of a variety of reports and data graphs requiring independent judgment with minimal supervision.
* Provides routine administrative and secretarial support to the department staff including answering of two incoming telephone lines and call coordination, surgery scheduling, and file management.
* Communicates appropriately with customers to identify concerns and issues, investigates and coordinates resolution of non-routine problems. Initiates appropriate follow-up to ensure that all matters requiring attention are addressed promptly and efficiently.
* Refers more complex problems to the Clinical Coordinators, Manager or Director as appropriate.

* Required to complete 1 education hour annually for DNV Comprehensive Stroke Program requirements.

The Nursing Assistant Student is a caregiver that commits to working towards a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification program or EMT Program independently or one sponsored by Providence St. Patrick Hospital. The Nursing Assistant Student must obtain their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or their EMT Montana Emergency Medical Technician Basic License within 12 months of employment in the Nursing Assistant Student role.
The Student functions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Designee and within the scope of practice that the supervising manager or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Resident. While enrolled in the CNA or EMT Training Program the Student is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure that the assigned patient(s) remains safe. This may include close, continuous observation to maintain patient safety, comfort, and a safe patient care environment. Basic patient care tasks may be delegated by the Registered Nurse, Nurse Manger and or Delegate. The Student will document all patient observation and care activities. Also performs non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
