Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Warehouse/Stock Clerk to support our Deep Space Network (DSN) Operations and Maintenance O&M contract with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA in Fort Irwin, CA.
The Deep Space Network is NASA's international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never before seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it.
Under general direction/guidance from the Material Planning/Logistics Supervisor, the ideal candidate will receive, store and distribute materials, tools, equipment and products using such equipment as fork lift, pallet jack and platform truck in support of the NASA/JPL Warehouse. They will also conduct physical inventories and assist customers in material identification.
Responsibilities:
Loads and unloads shipments at shipping and receiving area.
Transports materials and items from receiving dock to storage or other designated areas by hand, dolly, fork lift or pallet jack.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
Stores items by identifying information such as contract number, style, size or type to maintain traceability. May mark identifying codes on articles.
Opens bales, crates and other containers using hand tools.
Counts and records quantity of materials or items received.
Fills requisitions, work orders or requests or materials, tools or other stock items for distribution to requester.
Assembles order from stock and marks items with identifying information.
Coordinates delivery dates to ensure required schedules are met.
Reads work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
Transports materials and items from storage to designated areas by hand, dolly fork lift or pallet jack.
Informs supervisor or other delegate of a low stock condition of articles or materials used on a regular basis.
Understanding of shelf life and HAZMAT storage and handling procedures
General clerical work
Pick up and deliver to customer items from internal & external sources
Responsible for the security of inventory and stored goods.
Maintains work area in a clean & safe condition
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required.
1+ year of related experience which must include inventory control and customer service.
Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions and procedures without direct supervision.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Must be able to be trained for DOT job specific dangerous goods shipments.
Must be comfortable operating and using lifting equipment such as a forklift.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Must possess and retain a valid California driver's license.(Real-ID required)
Must be able to obtain a trusted background check and pass a National Criminal Information Check (NCIC). In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

+ Assist in the preparation and execution of AAR for SOF personnel training. The SOF TAFF will collect and process SOF pictures and video for integration into AARs and THPs.

The GSEM diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment (GSE); advises and trains lower-grade personnel on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair/maintenance problems; inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications; uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions; and analyzes, diagnosis, and repairs GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.
As a GSEM, you will maintain external fuel and grounding systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE and inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. You will also service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air as well as diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
Our GSEM will also be responsible the following:
Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components
Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories
Stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications
Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations
Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment
Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.
Maintains vehicle records
Maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records
Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times
The basic requirements of the position include, but are not limited to:
Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE).
Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems.
Diagnoses all system components including electrical, electronics, and emissions related fault codes etc., in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations.
Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions.
Maintains external fuel and grounding systems
Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications

Work Conditions:
Conditions will vary as most work will be accomplished outdoors as there will be work on the range throughout the year so temperatures will vary.
Activities will include 45% standing, 25% walking, 20% sitting, 5% reaching, and 5% lifting.
Must be capable of lifting 50-100 pounds assisted by other employees.
Must be able to deploy both CONUS and OCONUS.
Shift hours will vary by mission requirements.
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.

appropriate training behaviors in the training environment. Foreign language usage exercises the training unit's human intelligence assets, adds complexity to the RTU's operations, provides a source of intelligence and information, and exercises the unit's procedures for care and treatment of non-English speaking combatants and
non-combatants. Role Players provide the “human terrain” and cultural context for operations as a people-centric approach in the units' preparation and training.

Description: The Health Educator reports to the Armed Forces Wellness Center (AFWC) Director/ Lead Health Educator and works as a team member in a dynamic group that delivers primary prevention services that improve health and build readiness by targeting the behaviorally modifiable factors most likely to result in chronic disease, injury and/or performance issues. The Health Educator will participate in providing six core programs (health assessment review, physical fitness, healthy nutrition, stress management, general wellness education, and tobacco education) as part of the standardized AFWC program.
Responsibilities:
Conducts evidence-based health promotion programs based on behavioral change theories, provides health education to improve health behaviors; uses evaluation tools to measure changes in support of the AFWC program.
Conducts physical fitness testing and comprehensive health and wellness assessments using advanced technology to include, but not limited to, direct gas exchange, ultrasound body fat, air displacement plethysmography, indirect calorimetry, heart rate variability, etc.
Conducts both individual and group coaching appointments to apply various behavior change theories and health coaching strategies designed to improve health habits.
Ensures complete and timely data collection and entry through approved documentation systems.
Understanding and knowledge of basic health sciences to include anatomy/physiology, basic exercise science, health psychology, basic nutrition, exercise programming, and counseling techniques.

Qualifications:
4-year degree in an Allied Health field (exercise science/exercise physiology preferred) from an accredited college or university. Allied Health degrees include, but are not limited to, health promotion, health education, exercise science, nutrition science, etc.
Maintains one or more nationally recognized NCCA credentials (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, CHES/MCHES, etc.)
