Summary
The Goddard Regional Manager of Openings leads a team of School Opening Consultants across the United States who support franchise owners through a structured process to ensure that all aspects of opening each Goddard school are completed with high quality and in a timely manner.
A primary responsibility for the Region Manager of Openings is to coach and develop Opening Consultants to advance the brand and long-term growth of Goddard Systems.
As one of the earliest contacts with franchisees, the Region Manager of Openings is a brand ambassador setting an inspirational tone for employees, and franchise leaders in the marketplace.
The Region Manager of Opening's key focus areas include ensuring consultants prepare and execute plans for operational readiness, effective marketing campaigns to drive enrollment and recruiting processes to staff the school.
Essential Functions
* Proactively models Goddard values for employees, franchisees, and customers
* Assess consultants' capability and proactively develop skills and desired behaviors
* Conduct meaningful development conversations and actively support employee development plans
* Lead team of Opening Consultants to support their assigned portfolio of franchisees through defined new school openings process
* Coach consultants to create and modify individualized support plan by school / franchisee considering the experience base of the owner and metric trends including leads, tours, enrollment and staffing
* Provide project management to ensure national portfolio of openings milestones are achieved. Intervene when necessary to influence outcomes.
* Work through Opening Consultants to create agreement with franchisee on roles and set clear expectations
* Build on training provided and support Opening Consultants to provide practical support to franchisees on implementing marketing, recruiting and enrollment processes
* Ensure successful transition of new schools to assigned Regional Director and Franchise Consultant through early engagement and clear communication.
* Share proven best practices on recruiting quality school directors, faculty, and employees to enhance franchisee hiring practices.
* Provide standardized approach for initiating marketing and enrollment strategies including social media, local media events, and support pre-enrollment events
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required. Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Business Management preferred
* At least 5 years of franchise consulting experience or multi-unit early childhood education facility management
* At least 3 years of experience managing a portfolio of clients and/or sites and projects
* At least 3 years of experience leading a team in a field-based environment
* At least 3 years of experience managing startups of field-based locations preferred
* At least 2 years of experience delivering presentations and /or training
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Travel up to 85%, depending on school openings schedule
* CFE (Certified Franchise Executive) designation desirable

Lead Teacher Responsibilities
A lead teacher's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
· Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
· Develop an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
· Ensure that classroom equipment is in good repair
· Understand and implement The Goddard School emergency procedure(s)
· Promote healthy eating practices at lunch and snack times
· Ensure that children are always within state ratio requirements
· Perform minor cleaning responsibilities (e.g., spills) immediately
· Perform major cleaning during times when children are not present
· Post a classroom schedule that meets the needs of the children and includes a routine and learning opportunities
· Post and adhere to all GSI Health and Safety policies and procedures
Advance children's physical and intellectual competence
· Adapt program to meet the individual needs of each child
· Create a multi-cultural learning environment
· Provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to engage children in learning
· Interact with the children to support play, exploration and learning
· Encourage children to talk with each other and with the faculty
· Present age- and developmentally-appropriate expectations for all children
· Create a print-rich environment in order for children to learn about books, literature and writing
· Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play and blocks
· Provide a reasonable balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities
· Provide opportunities for both active and quiet play
· Integrate GSI-approved resources (including Enrichment Programs) into lesson plans
Support each child's social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
· Understand and adhere to the GSI Behavior Policy
· Plan and implement activities to develop children's self-esteem and social skills
· Plan and implement activities to enable children's feeling of security
· Encourage empathetic and respectful feelings for others, as well as the environment, through positive modeling
· Respect cultural and ethnic diversity
Establish positive and effective family relations
· Communicate, in a professional manner, with families and faculty
· Encourage families to become an integral part of their children's learning experiences
