The Group Exercise Instructor will lead members, in a group environment, through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The Group Exercise Instructor will also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness. Major Responsibilities: Pre-class Preparation: Arrive at class location 10 to 15 minutes ahead of scheduled start time to be available to interact with members, answer questions, inquire about their fitness progress, introduce and orient new participants. Group Exercise Instructors should know their participants on an individual basis and have a good sense of their fitness capabilities. Clothing should be appropriate fitness attire. It should not prohibit participants from seeing proper form, alignment and movement of the body. However, clothing should not be revealing in an inappropriate manner. When possible, Group Exercise Instructors should wear Gold's Gym branded attire. Proper footwear should be worn at all times. Prepare appropriate music for class. If using multiple tapes, ensure everything is rewound and ready to play when needed. Refrain from using music with offensive language. Floor Maintenance Job Description: The primary responsibility is to perform general upkeep of the site and provide a clean environment for members. Cleans gym facility equipment in accordance with our cleaning checklist. Ensures all areas are clean and dust/spot free, including vacuuming if necessary, dusting, and detailed cleaning/wipe down of cardio and weight equipment, classroom, functional training/studio equipment. Picks up trash in all areas of the gym and dispose in dumpster if necessary. Advises and assists site manager(s) of needs to maintain facility: repairs needed, replacement of equipment components, basic maintenance like lubrication of equipment, etc. Re-racks and arranges all gym equipment to maintain a clean and organized facility at all times. The Fitness Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling memberships to potential new members and selling renewals/upgrades to current gym members. Major Responsibilities: Generates sales through Company-sponsored (walk-ins and TI's) and employee sponsored (outreach and promotions). Maintains accurate records of all Company-sponsored and employee-sponsored. Follows up on all prospects by using established Gold's Gym sales systems. Conducts gym tours using established Gold's Gym sales systems. Conducts telephone inquiries using established Gold's Gym sales systems. Establishes and maintains a minimum of 10 lead boxes/bowls in the community on a monthly basis. Must establish and maintain a minimum required referral program as defined by Gold's Gym Company standards. Maintain FC planner using established sales systems. Must be current on Gold's Gym Company pricing and promotion schedule. Maintains information on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff and policies. Has a thorough knowledge of, adheres to, and enforces Company policies and procedures as they pertain to gym operations. Assumes responsibility for developing selling skills. Prepares for, attends and actively participates in sales meetings. Maintains a positive relationship with the rest of the staff.
