Reality Labs at Meta is seeking Research Scientists with experience in product-focused machine learning and signal processing research to advance our pioneering work in neuromotor interfaces, which has grown out of the acquisition of CTRL-labs. We're building a practical interface drawing on the rich neuromotor signals that can be measured non-invasively via surface electromyography (EMG) with single motor neuron resolution. This technology could become one of the main pillars for interaction with virtual and augmented worlds.We are a multi-disciplinary team of researchers investigating the nature of human neuromotor signals, developing novel signal processing and machine learning methods to infer a user's intent, and creating novel interaction techniques and user experiences. 7. Manages all term performance assessments and handles performance problems with student employees, assuring the appropriate procedures are followed and appropriate documentation is kept.
8. Attend all building manager meetings.
9. Attend all area meetings of their student teams and coach the managing lead in leading those meetings.
10. Manages employee recognition programs with the Building Managers and jointly manage and present departmental recognition programs.
11. Shall, in rotation with the other GA, directly supervise the operations for evening and weekend programs as assigned. (1-2 nights a week on average).

Open Sky's Day Habilitation programs serves adults between the ages of 23-85 with a primary diagnosis of intellectual disabilities, though some individuals may also have mental health diagnoses and/or physical challenges. Most participants require supportive structures and staff assistance to maximize their involvement in activities within the program as well as within the local community. Our staff educate through the creation and implementation of individualized service plans, daily curriculum/activities, and have a heavy focus on community integration.
As a Teaching Assistant you will provide support to the individuals served in a direct care role by ensuring a supportive and structured environment. The Teaching Assistant will provide guidance, advocacy, and life skills education for individuals served within the Day Program.

Implement all service and behavior plans with support from the interdisciplinary team

The incumbent will work with data from the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). Part of the funding is to build a single, unified dataset of all HAWC+ polarization data for star-forming regions. Other funds will be used to analyze HAWC+ polarization data to understand the magnetic fields of specific regions in the Gould Belt. Funding is available for 2 years, with a third year possible if more funding is secured. The WSU postdoc will also have an opportunity to collaborate at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian. The preferred start date is September, but other start dates are possible as well.

We are seeking highly motivated and creative applicants who can lead a project on Misophonia, a psychological and behavioral disorder in which individuals experience adverse emotional reactions to specific sounds (“auditory triggers”). The broad project goal is to develop computational models of hearing and perception that are fitted to human perceptual measurements and that can be used to characterize and diagnose misophonia. The models will also be used to develop sound processing tools to remove and de-emphasize auditory triggers (e.g., with headphones) and improve participant outcomes. The project will use a variety of approaches, including human perceptual experiments, machine learning, digital signal processing, and computational models of hearing.
UConn has a vibrant neuroscience community, and there are opportunities for collaboration between departments, institutes, and Universities involved in the project. The primary appointment is in Biomedical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering. The work will be conducted in collaboration with the Behavioral Neuroscience program in the Psychological Sciences department (Ian Stevenson), the Electrical and Computer Engineering/Biomedical Engineering departments at the University of Connecticut (Monty EscabĂ), and the Connecticut Institute for Brain and Cognitive Sciences.

The Audette Lab of Flexible Sensory Processing (Psychological Sciences, UConn Storrs) is seeking a talented scientist for a fully funded, full-time post-doctoral research associate position. The successful candidate will develop and execute a novel research program at the interface of sensory-motor systems, quantitative behavior, and neural computation.
The Audette Lab is a new research group funded by the University of Connecticut and the NIH Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders that aims to uncover fundamental principles of computation in neural circuits. We are building a team with diverse scientific backgrounds to study the interaction between behavioral goals, life experience, and sensory processing. Our experiments merge a range of approaches, including large-scale multi-area in vivo neural recording, wireless electrophysiology in freely moving animals, custom-engineered sensory-motor behaviors, neural perturbation, viral labeling, and computation. The Physiological Acoustics Lab (*************************** at the University of Connecticut seeks applicants for a postdoctoral position in systems and computational neuroscience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking highly motivated and creative applicants who can lead a project on Misophonia, a psychological and behavioral disorder in which individuals experience adverse emotional reactions to specific sounds ("auditory triggers"). The broad project goal is to develop computational models of hearing and perception that are fitted to human perceptual measurements and that can be used to characterize and diagnose misophonia. The models will also be used to develop sound processing tools to remove and de-emphasize auditory triggers (e.g., with headphones) and improve participant outcomes. The project will use a variety of approaches, including human perceptual experiments, machine learning, digital signal processing, and computational models of hearing.
UConn has a vibrant neuroscience community, and there are opportunities for collaboration between departments, institutes, and Universities involved in the project. The primary appointment is in Biomedical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering. The work will be conducted in collaboration with the Behavioral Neuroscience program in the Psychological Sciences department (Ian Stevenson), the Electrical and Computer Engineering/Biomedical Engineering departments at the University of Connecticut (Monty EscabĂ), and the Connecticut Institute for Brain and Cognitive Sciences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* A PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, or a related field is required.
* Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and/or modeling.
