The postdoctoral researcher will closely work with our chemistry and engineering collaborators to measure ultrafastphotoconductivity and to understand the physical origin of these properties. The applicant is expected to train and closely work with graduate and undergraduate students. Contribution to scientific publications and grant applications is expected. Minimum Qualifications PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field; research experience in spectroscopy or materials growth and characterization. Preferred Qualifications Experience with materials synthesize and characterization. Required License/Registration/Certifications Job Duties: Conduct experimental research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. e.g. plan, develop, and assemble advanced spectrometers; synthesize and characterize novel materials; initiate and conduct research; gather, analyze, and interpret data; connect with contemporary research activities/publications; document research activity, develop synthesize protocols. Contribute to the mentoring and training of students and junior colleagues. Contribute to grant writing. Disseminate research activity to the research community, resource and funding agencies, and the group and PI in the form of oral presentations, posters, research reports, and manuscripts and publications.
