We are looking for an Agricultural Research Intern and in this position, you will support the research activities for sugar beet seed developments. You will assist with the overall management of research plots and develop operational knowledge in the area of seed research. The position is located in Kimberly, ID.
Essential job functions:
* Assist with data collection in field trials, such as stand counts, stand ratings, and disease ratings.
* Supervise temporary work crews.
* Assist in trial management including to but not limited to seeding, cultivating, and harvesting.
* Assist as needed with regulated Yield Trials.
* Work non-standard hours as needed.
* Assist with maintaining the research station grounds and facilities as needed.
* Travel and/or drive on behalf of the business.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide the intern the opportunity of being exposed to the Seed Parent Characterization activities, allowing him/her to apply academic background and assist in the department activities from trial design, preparation, maintenance, harvesting, lab tasks, and data analysis
Allow the intern to develop a good understanding about new sweetcorn and garden bean development, and parent characterization activities, by taking a lead role for one of the Seed Parent Characterization's projects
Strengthen new product advancements through the assessment of important traits for seeds production at early breeding stages
Take the lead on the project management and execution according to the assigned project. Assure that field activities (planting, plot maintenance, bird netting, and harvest) for research plots are executed. This includes routine site/farm maintenance activities such as planting plots, applying treatments, collecting observations and in-season data, and maintaining the plots throughout the growing season. Fall activities include harvest stand counts and actual plot harvest
Support other Seed Parent Characterization, as well as agronomic trial activities at the home site
Develop and maintain two-way communication with project managers, Field Production Research (FPR) Scientists, Agronomists and Parent Seed colleagues at the home site. Additionally, look for communicating with people from different areas, from breeding all the way to commercial seeds production, aiming to gain a good understanding of the whole chain
Assist with managing and developing part time workers
Analyze data and prepare a research report and presentation for the assigned project
Lead daily routine equipment maintenance and preparation to ensure maximum precision in all treatment applications
Make sure all activities are developed according to the Company safety procedures and recommendations, and promote environmentally sustainable solutions

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a well-qualified Postdoctoral Research Associate to support national fuel development and qualification efforts within the Fuel Development, Performance and Qualification department. The successful candidate will focus on analyzing experimental data from irradiated fuels and materials to understand performance and degradation mechanisms. While microscopy may be used on an as-needed basis, the primary focus is on interpreting post-irradiation examination (PIE) data and integrating findings into fuel performance models. Roles and Responsibilities
* Analyze PIE data to identify irradiation-induced changes in fuels and structural materials
* Correlate experimental observations with thermomechanical behavior and fuel performance

JOB TITLE:
Research Scientist Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
Research Scientists are academic professionals whose primary responsibilities are to conduct and support research. UW Regulation 2-7 describes the activities that fall into this set of responsibilities for faculty; the same definition of research applies to Academic Professionals.
The successful Research Scientist will support a wide variety of agricultural research projects at the Powell Research and Extension Center (PREC), located in Powell, WY, as well as surrounding areas within the Big Horn Basin agricultural region. The incumbent will participate in designing, implementing, monitoring, and interpreting research studies across a wide range of agronomic subjects including, but not limited to, weed science, plant breeding, and plant pathology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with PIs, graduate students, industry partners, and the PREC faculty and staff to help plan, implement, monitor, collect data for, interpret and harvest field research studies in plant science.
Act as liaison to facilitate cooperation and communication between off-campus faculty, students, and industry groups executing research activities at the PREC and the PREC farm crew.
Analyze and interpret experimental data for reporting and subsequent investigations.
Help prepare reports, presentations, and other research outputs and present data to relevant stakeholders.
Perform or supervise experiments to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality control standards.
Work closely with the PREC Director to ensure that research activities are being performed with scientific rigor and efficiency.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Travel for additional learning opportunities to assist in designing, performing, and presenting research results and learning new methodologies.
Work cooperatively with station personnel, with a variety of agricultural-based tasks and responsibilities, including the application of pesticides.

Understand the operation and limitations of PREC field research equipment and operate equipment when needed.

As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our orthopedic surgeon to diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
Location: Alternating between Park City, Utah and Cottonwood Heights, Utah

Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
Assist in surgical procedures, providing preoperative and postoperative care.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the orthopedic surgeon.
Perform joint injections, aspirations, casting, and other minor procedures.
Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and postoperative care.
Participate in the clinic on call schedule to address urgent patient needs after hours.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR), documenting patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans.
Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers, diagnostic imaging facilities, and physical therapy as needed.
Handle phone calls, inquiries, and messages promptly and professionally.
Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and manage patient flow in the clinic.

Requirements:
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Orthopedic experience preferred.
Strong clinical and surgical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in EHR software and basic computer skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in an orthopedic practice, including patient care areas and operating rooms.
May require standing for extended periods and lifting/moving patients or equipment.
Full-time position with some flexibility in scheduling, including possible evening or weekend hours.
