Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine and either board eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases. The ideal candidate will have an M.D. degree, postgraduate clinical training, and experience in infectious diseases. The Michigan Firearm Law Implementation Program (M-FLIP) at the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention (IFIP) seeks a highly skilled training and technical assistance (TTA) specialist for the implementation of Michigan's extreme risk protection order (ERPO) and safe firearm storage laws. The TTA specialist is responsible for developing and coordinating training programs and technical assistance activities across multiple sectors including law enforcement, healthcare, education, and community violence intervention. The ideal candidate is a flexible and creative problem solver, who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a multi-disciplinary approach.
Responsibilities*
Work with the M-FLIP team to design, develop and implement TTA programs, determine appropriate TTA formats and methods (e.g. in-person, e-learning, experiential, etc.)
Coordinate with appropriate trainers, and communicate with trainers to ensure training content and materials are prepared.
Conduct outreach to and build relationships with potential trainees.
Work with the TTA Lead to plan and facilitate training sessions, both virtual and in person.
Assess the needs of trainees and practitioners to determine the level of training and support needed.
Develop toolkits for providers from various sectors (law enforcement, healthcare, education, and community violence intervention, etc.) to comprehensively assess implementation strategies and provide guidance and best practices.

Required Qualifications*

Experience in firearm injury prevention, suicide prevention, violence prevention, public policy, or related fields

The successful candidate will lead research that requires integral approaches to water cycle predictions, ecosystem management, and climate research to support decision making in mitigation and adaptation strategies in the Great Lakes region. The candidate is expected to collaborate with diverse experts in the Great Lakes science community to advance model coupling with lake dynamics, understanding and modeling of boundary-layer processes (e.g., evapotranspiration, wind wave formation), and atmospheric microphysical processes (e.g., aerosol formation, snow characteristics). We are particularly interested in candidates who can lead research on predictions and projections for precipitation, runoff, water quality, ice cover, hazardous weather events such as lake-effect snowstorms, as well as advancing understanding of historical and future changes in the Great Lakes regional climate.
The successful candidate will be appointed with CIGLR, which is part of the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS), located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. CIGLR is a partnership between the University of Michigan and NOAA that brings together experts from academia and government research labs to work on pressing Great Lakes environmental challenges. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) in Ann Arbor and will collaborate closely with colleagues at CIGLR, GLERL, and SEAS and other Great Lakes partners. CIGLR Research Scientists serve as principal investigators and work closely with GLERL investigators to develop new NOAA-supported research projects, oversee execution of ongoing projects at the Institute, and secure project funding from other external sponsors. Pre-Award Administration:

Responsibilities*
* The Audit and Appeals Specialist works in Revenue Cycle. They work closely with inpatient, outpatient and professional billing. They collaborate with many departments outside of Revenue Cycle including Care Management, Registration, MiVisit Business services, clinics and ancillary departments.
* Review patient medical records and utilize clinical and regulatory knowledge as well as knowledge of payer requirements to determine reasons for denials and what type of appeal is required.
* Make appeal referrals to both internal and external physician advisors. Utilize knowledge of third party regulations to initiate interventions
* Collaborate with physicians, PA's, Compliance department and Health System Legal office to ensure complete and accurate information on all appeal letters.
* Make recommendations for further appeal, referrals to UMHS contracting and/or legal offices.
* Utilize knowledge of CMS regulations, OPPS coding for surgical procedures and the Medicare inpatient only list to ensure accurate reimbursement.
* Review readmissions and apply payer guidelines. Combine accounts as necessary prior to release of claims.
* Monitor Medicaid retrospective eligibility cases, complete required forms, track retrospective authorizations or need for appeal
* Utilize payer specific communication protocols and document all contacts, including outcomes to assure appropriate payment of claims for approved services. Document all denied services, appeal dates and maintain records of correspondence throughout the appeal process.
* Complete and maintain MiChart, ADT and Billing workqueues.
* Collaborate with other revenue cycle departments. Attend and participate in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings and committees. Incorporate learning into operational activities as appropriate.
* Assist in the overall achievement of the objectives and financial goals of Michigan Medicine
Required Qualifications*
* An Associate degree in Health Information Technology with RHIT certification OR Associate degree RN
* At least 2-5 years of experience in Utilization Management, Appeals Management or Case Management

The journal advisor helps to organize the student staff and works closely with the Editors-in-Chief. The journal advisor also works with the Editors to negotiate with printers, manage the budget, and assist students in the development of layout and design. Responsibilities*
You will be responsible for:
* Primary duties include mental health assessment and direct evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, DBT) with at-risk youth primarily 5-21 and their families to facilitate an understanding and resolution of identified problems.
