Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team to promote, develop and manage energy management services for water and wastewater utilities.
Identify business development opportunities and develop relationships with regional water and wastewater utilities.
Manage and support energy management projects and pursuits

Mentoring and supporting staff members to grow the energy management service capabilities and footprint in the region.
Business Development:

Managing and coordinating regional energy management projects and services to ensure quality solutions and deliverables.
Working closely with national leaders and subject matter experts to ensure the right resources are available for energy management projects.
Attend and present at industry conferences to promote Hazen's energy services and identify local business development opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of related industry experience
Have a general understanding of energy management fundamentals specific to water and wastewater treatment, distribution and conveyance.
General knowledge of bioenergy recovery technologies and biosolids management systems.
Engineering experience leading water and wastewater treatment design projects.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a group of experts in project development and execution.
Strong interpersonal skills to build client relationships and trust to promote Hazen's energy management services.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Engineering
Professional Engineering License

* Review RFPs and the associated contracts, provide contract risk assessments including proposed contract changes and exceptions and suggest risk mitigation measures.
* Be responsible to draft and review a variety of agreements, including NDAs, teaming agreements, joint ventures, prime contracts, and subcontracts.
* Maintain close working relationships with applicable leadership team, sales and delivery managers, other members of the legal department, as well as other internal core services groups necessary to achieve comprehensive review and risk assessment (cybersecurity, tax, insurance, etc.).
* Serve as one of the organization's contacts to address questions related to existing contracts and contract processes.
* Prioritize between multiple projects on a time-sensitive basis.
Desired Skills and Experience
* A minimum of 8 years working as a contracts manager or similar role

Responsibilities
The Project Manager (PM) will oversee and monitor compliance and conformance activities throughout the pipeline integrity evaluation process.
Initiate project work order approvals and manage the coordination of all activities leading to the completion of assessment projects, including defining the project scope, setting timelines, creating initial cost estimates, and delivering stage-gate presentations.

Qualifications
Possess 3-5 years of Project Management work experience performed in a regulated utility industry, focused on Integrity Assessments Experience with one or more of the following: ILI, Direct Assessment, Pressure Testing, Guided Wave, UT (Ultrasonic / ultra sonic), or similar.
Planning transmission or distribution work experience.
Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant project and field experience.
Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
Ability to develop and deliver presentation in an internal and client setting to various levels of stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

* Advise project teams involved in design-build and related projects, either in a contractor role, designer role, or both, as to appropriate contractual terms in a variety of settings.
* Review RFPs and the associated contracts, provide contract risk assessments including proposed contract changes and exceptions and suggest risk mitigation measures.
* Be responsible to draft and review a variety of agreements, including NDAs, teaming agreements, joint ventures, prime contracts, and subcontracts.
* Maintain close working relationships with applicable leadership team, sales and delivery managers, other members of the legal department, as well as other internal core services groups necessary to achieve comprehensive review and risk assessment (cybersecurity, tax, insurance, etc.).
* Serve as one of the organization's contacts to address questions related to existing contracts and contract processes.
* Prioritize between multiple projects on a time-sensitive basis.
Desired Skills and Experience
* A minimum of 8 years working as a contracts manager or similar role
* Substantial knowledge and experience with design-build projects and standard contract forms (such as DBIA and EJCDC), preferably in the water and wastewater industry
* Experience building strong relationships with project teams and influencing decisions
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related experience
* Senior level experience negotiating contracts with a pragmatic, flexible negotiation style based on sound business acumen
* Public-Private Partnership (PPP/P3) and/or Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) experience a plus.
* Strong understanding of legal concepts (e.g., standard of care, liability, insurances, indemnification, acceptance, warranties, intellectual property rights, etc.) and state and local contracting practices
* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Teams, and other contract management technology
* Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication (oral and written) skills
* Exceptional business ethics, influence, and leadership skills
Salary Range: The hourly pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Registration as a Professional Engineer.
