Under the direction of the Craft Workforce Development Manager and/or Director of Craft Workforce Development, the Craft Training Instructor is responsible for classroom and hands on instruction in various Sundt Training Programs. The content and structure of the Sundt Construction Training Programs are supported by and adhere to the standards established by the National Center for Construction Education/Research (NCCER) and the Department of Labor. This position is specific to Heavy Equipment Operator training. Key Responsibilities 1. Coordinate NCCER Assessment activities including scheduling, delivery, and tracking. 2. The purpose of this position is to operate heavy equipment for a variety of construction and maintenance operations within the City. This is accomplished by using equipment such as: backhoes, rollers, graders, and front-end loaders to complete construction projects; assisting with operations; when assigned to landfill: operating dozers and compactors on a 3:1 slope, driving articulated dump trucks and operating excavators.
