Operate medium to large-sized equipment, including backhoe, loader, bulldozer, and track hoe, to install or repair underground utilities and drive/load a dump truck. Operate haul rig with a trailer loaded with wide loads. Act as backup crew leader during his absence and supervise 3-5 crew members. Perform regular labor duties and use various hand tools to maintain and repair water and sewer mains. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., nights, weekends, overtime and on-call rotation as required. * Integral member of a 5 man construction crew. * Operate haul rig with trailer loaded with wide loads. * Operate medium to large-sized equipment including; backhoe, loader, bulldozer, track hoe, to install or repair underground utilities and drive/load a dump truck. * At times will be performing manual labor to help install/repair water and sewer systems. * Operate bull dozer to clear utility right of ways (ROW) and demo condemned structures. * Operate backhoe or track hoe excavating ditch lines for sewer or water utility construction/repair. * Operate, inspect and load equipment/materials in a safe manner on a trailer. * Inspect and drive a haul truck with an oversized load. * Work requires being onsite and operating city vehicles to various locations. * Other duties as assigned. The position of Lease Operator is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations. Reports equipment failures/deficiencies to supervisor as required. * Clears and maintains creeks, channels, storm drains, welds, guard rail repair, and camera recordings of pipes/drains, including, but not limited to, hauling and spreading materials, loading, and unloading various items such as dirt, debris, brush, yard waste, discarded furniture and appliances, trees/limbs, cement, construction materials, and repairs stormwater drainage pipes. * Performs a variety of labor-intensive duties, including, but not limited to, cleaning vehicles, job sites, and shop/garage, loading and unloading vehicles, patching and repairing storm drains, inlet boxes, channels, shoveling gravel/concrete (other material as needed), trimming and /or removing trees. * Performs a variety of vehicle and equipment maintenance duties, including, but not limited to, monitoring/checking vehicle lighting systems, brakes, horns, safety devices, and gauges, checking fluid levels, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting mechanics as needed. Reports equipment failures/deficiencies to supervisor as required. * Maintains a safe work area, including places and removes cones, barricades, and warning devices, and/or directs traffic at work sites to ensure the safety of work crew and public; cleans up work sites upon completion of the job; picks up all tools and equipment; secures the job site if returning later; washes vehicles and equipment as needed; cleans up shop areas; maintains tools and equipment in safe and operable conditions; safe use, mix, and dilute all chemicals according to direction labels; and when operating motor vehicles, observe safe driving principles and practices. * Responsible for the application inventory, distribution, storage, procurement, and spraying of herbicides, pesticides, chemicals, and fertilizers in one or more areas: roadsides, rights-of-way, ditches, and easements. * Prepares the job site for chemical preparation, identifies vegetation, determines the proper mix of chemicals to apply, determines the spraying equipment to utilize, checks weather conditions, and may notify area owners. * Maintains accurate daily records of areas sprayed in compliance with EPA regulations; documents a description of the area, time of day, temperature, rate of chemical, wind conditions, type of chemical, the amount applied, and related costs associated with each sprayed area. The position of Lease Operator is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations.
