Responsibilities
Work under the direction of the Lead Operator, Earthwork Foreman, Earthwork Superintendent, and/or other designated project leads
Follows and maintains safe operating procedures and protocols for all equipmentoperation and field activity in accordance with Moretrench safety policy and OSHA requirements
Safely performs physical duties associated with operation of Moretrench heavy equipment including but not limited to bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, handling, climbing into and out of, and around heavy equipment
Works safely in a wide variety of climatic conditions and job site environments commonly found at Moretrench job sites
Performs daily greasing and fluid checks and assumes responsibility for the maintenance and safe operation of any and all assigned pieces of equipment
Inspects assigned equipment prior to each use; and makes appropriate, accurate, and timely entries into the operator's checklist / equipment log for each piece of equipmentoperated
Immediately reports any equipment damage, maintenance problems or concerns and safety issues to the Foreman and/or Superintendent
Follows direction of the Foreman and/or Superintendent to overcome issues with changing and/or unforeseen field conditions or project scope
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience operating multiple pieces of heavy equipment at Class A operator level
Extensive experience in heavy equipmentoperations involving mass excavations; clearing and grubbing; backfilling and compacting; excavating and pipe laying; and construction and maintenance of embankments, berms, and dikes
In the case of a truck loading excavator, the ability to fully and safely load loads trucks in an efficient manner to meet the goals of the project
Demonstrate the skills of a finish grade operator (tolerance of 1/10 of a foot or better) on at least one piece of equipment, dozer or excavator
Skilled and fully competent in using GPS system as a grading tool to achieve grades
Skilled at the practice of operating safely on worksites according to OSHA, MSHA and Moretrench safety protocols and requirements
Note that all job site locations are remote and temporary, so a form of transportation is required. The vast majority of our work is within a 1 hour drive of Riverview, FL (just outside of Tampa) so our personnel do very little travel
Valid Florida driver's license, or the equivalent
Able to operate heavy machinery for long periods, including evenings and weekends when necessary

Additional Details

Hydrovac Excavation is a non-destructive method of excavating as an alternative to mechanical equipment or hand-digging. Hydrovacs use pressurized water and a vacuum system to quickly, safely, precisely and cleanly excavate around utilities, pipelines and numerous other applications.

Key Responsibilities
Seventy percent or more of the job's work time is spent operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables.

About the Position:
We are seeking a Field Service Technician Technician for our Lakeland, FL office whose job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following for water purification and treatment systems and equipment:
Job Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance (i.e. filter change, DI/Carbon exchange, RO cleaning, EDI cleaning & sanitization) on water treatment systems at customer facilities
Assists Installation Department staff in commissioning/startup of new, central water systems
Provides thorough documentation of all work, parts, and time in accordance with SOPs
Communicates with Service Manager regarding service contract issues
Maintains effective, trusted working relationship with customers
Follows customer contractor/visitor rules
Uses safe work practices driving, in the shop, and at customer sites
Maintains customer systems leak-free
Escalates reoccurring breakdown and system design issues to the Service Manager
Maintains extraordinarily neat work areas, including vehicles, shop, and work sites
Performs other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment service operations, preferably in customer-facing settings
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with some commercial/industrial experience
Ability to understand instrumentation and controls
Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic & capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
Good computer skills (Internet Explorer, Word, Excel)
High school diploma or GED
Working Conditions:
Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer facilities
Regular "on call" rotation assignments
Significant local travel, plus average of 6 overnight stays per month
Ability to lift up to 50lbs. without physical restrictions

Overview
Operates a rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler type tractor with an attached scoop type bucket on front end. Machine is used to load materials from stockpiles, excavation, charging batch plants, loading and unloading tricks. May be used with attachments in lieu of the bucket.
Job Duties
* Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines
* Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials
* Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects
* Perform maintenance procedures on equipment such as oiling, greasing, and other service to the machine
* Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment
* Other unlisted duties will be assigned
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required
* Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
* Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds
* Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
