The Industrial Cleaning Operator will operate, maintain, and repair high-pressure water blasting equipment and industrial vacuuming equipment necessary to perform the safe and proper removal, containment, transportation, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials within heavy industrial settings. They perform the general labor activities of a Hydroblast Technician, as well as operate water lasting and industrial vacuum equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Show commitment to perform all assigned duties safely, at all times.
Meet physical requirement to be able to safely perform all duties of Hydroblast Technicians.

Will identify mechanical problems of assigned equipment and follow up appropriately by performing minor mechanical repair and/or communicating problems to supervisor for speedy repairs.
Will safely and effectively perform decontamination process of assigned equipment as required by project and company policy in order to prevent cross-contamination between equipment and job sites.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposed to weather, including extreme temperatures.
Work in atmospheres with potential for exposure to various chemicals that may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
Required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders to heights of up to 250 feet.

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
CDL Class A or B required.
Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement preferred.

PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to operate heavy equipment and perform manual work functions associated with transportation of materials and construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Operates a variety of heavy equipment, machinery and tools used in construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems (which may include a compactor, front-end loading truck, motor grader, bulldozer, scraper, asphalt spreader); operates all other equipment, machinery, and tools as assigned.
Performs manual work functions associated with construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems (which may include constructing/repairing bridges; building/repairing roads; patching holes; rolling/packing asphalt; moving soil/earth; grading roads, shoulders, or other areas; digging holes or trenches; installing pipe; shoveling asphalt, road mix, rock, dirt, etc.; trimming and clearing shrubbery; removing trees and tree limbs; removing debris from ditches and right-of-ways; hauling materials; or loading and unloading trucks).
Transports, loads, and unloads various equipment and materials used in projects.
Monitors equipment gauges and other indicators for non-standard conditions; reports faulty equipment for repair; performs basic equipment repairs.
Performs general maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment/machinery in good working condition (which includes inspecting equipment, checking condition of tires, checking/replacing fluid levels, greasing equipment, and washing/cleaning equipment).
Cleans/maintains grounds and buildings of county facilities as needed; cleans/maintains areas around compactors and trash receptacles.
Prepares and/or receives various forms, logs, reports or other documents; processes and forwards as appropriate.
Communicates via telephone and/or two-way radio; provides information; takes and relays messages; responds to requests for service.
Responds to routine requests for information from employees, officials, the public or other individuals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of tenth grade level education required; one year of experience in operating heavy equipment and performing manual labor, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License. Required to possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

What You'll Do:

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment of various sizes and weights for mining and mineral processing facilities operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week such as bulldozers and excavators in support of active mining operations. This earth moving position will work collaboratively with a team of 8 to 10 operators, under the direction of the Production Shift Supervisor, focused on the safe and efficient delivery of raw ore to mine processing facilities and management of sand tails.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily activities
Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures.
Safely and efficiently operates various pieces of mobile heavy equipment including bulldozers and tracked excavators.
Identify and promote opportunities to improve mine safety performance, act as a safety leader.
Safely drive and maneuvers equipment into position for digging, loading, hauling, dumping, pushing, and/or spreading material in designated work areas.
Receive and execute written or oral instructions regarding material movement or excavation.

PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The purpose of this classification is to operate heavy equipment and perform manual work functions associated with transportation of materials and construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operates a variety of heavy equipment, machinery and tools used in construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems (which may include a compactor, front-end loading truck, motor grader, bulldozer, scraper, asphalt spreader); operates all other equipment, machinery, and tools as assigned.
Performs manual work functions associated with construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems (which may include constructing/repairing bridges; building/repairing roads; patching holes; rolling/packing asphalt; moving soil/earth; grading roads, shoulders, or other areas; digging holes or trenches; installing pipe; shoveling asphalt, road mix, rock, dirt, etc.; trimming and clearing shrubbery; removing trees and tree limbs; removing debris from ditches and right-of-ways; hauling materials; or loading and unloading trucks).
Transports, loads, and unloads various equipment and materials used in projects.
Monitors equipment gauges and other indicators for non-standard conditions; reports faulty equipment for repair; performs basic equipment repairs.
Performs general maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment/machinery in good working condition (which includes inspecting equipment, checking condition of tires, checking/replacing fluid levels, greasing equipment, and washing/cleaning equipment).
