Job Purpose and Impact
The Customer Service Generalist will process routine customer facing order management activities. In this role, you will use your general understanding of customer service practices and procedures to help execute well established customer service activities for basic and middle service level customers. You will contribute to an increased level of transparency, communication and responsiveness with the company's customers.
Key Accountabilities
Receive and process straightforward customer orders across multiple platforms following standard procedures.
Receive and process clerical and administrative change requests following defined policies and procedures.
Assist customers and senior staff with order status, invoices, contract balances and other information needed to complete an order.
Assist in processing standard document requests from customers and confirm final shipping and quality documentation and specifications to customer.
Escalate undocumented issues that are not commonly defined or known to higher level staff.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities, within area of scope, to improve the order management processes.
Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Position Summary

These interns will complete training tasks, written reports, and participate in ride-alongs with numerous officers and specialized units. The program is highly structured, with the intent of providing the intern with the education and experience required for possible future law enforcement careers. Historically, many of our interns have had success in obtaining full-time LPD positions upon graduation.
Key Responsibilities of Intern Program
Completes a minimum of 320 hours with the Lenexa Police Department. Hours may be added, if necessary, at the request of the student/university.
Completes hands-on training; participates in ride-alongs, and learns the skills needed for specialized units, including patrol, SWAT, investigations, K-9 and support services.
Completes mirror reports that will give them practical work experience in documentation and also allowing officers to critique work and performance.
Completes a research paper that will be submitted to the Sergeant overseeing the intern program.
Qualifications
Minimum
: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Must be enrolled in an associate, bachelor s, or graduate degree program that requires an internship. Must pass an oral interview with the Intern Sergeant and designated officers.
Desired
: Pursuing a career in a criminal justice or health and human services field. Have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Compensation
This is a paid internship paying $17.00 per hour. Offers for the summer internship are conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.

Grade A Tree Care
$20 per hour job in Grandview, MO
The Tree Groundsman supports arborists and tree crews by performing a range of ground-level tasks related to tree care, removal, and maintenance. Responsibilities include site preparation, cleanup, operating equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist tree climbers and arborists by supplying tools, equipment, and materials.
Perform ground-level cutting, chipping, and disposal of branches and brush.
Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other equipment safely.
Clear work sites of debris and ensure a tidy area after work is completed.
Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials.
Maintain equipment in good working condition, reporting issues as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Direct traffic or pedestrians around work zones as necessary.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Assist with rigging and lowering branches safely.
Perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader or supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in landscaping, tree care, or related field a plus.
Ability to operate or learn to operate chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment safely.
Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy loads and work outdoors in varying weather.
Knowledge of basic safety practices and willingness to follow all guidelines.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
