Reports objective relevant observations to the licensed nurse to assist in care-planning. Communicates and interacts effectively with patients and their families based on sensitivity to the psychosocial needs of patients and demonstrates ability to appropriately escalate behaviors that may place patients or others at risk for harm or injury. Utilizes equipment in the provision of patient care services safely and effectively with adaptation of equipment usage to the age and general condition of the patient, as indicated. Assists in the cleaning and sanitation of all equipment and supplies used in the unit and adheres to all guidelines regarding use of cleaning products.
