Education

Experience
- 3 plus years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performing the same or similar job duties.

Responsibilities
1. Performs all clinical practitioner service activities in designated specialty area including obtains histories, performs physical exams, makes assessments, orders tests to adequately assess, determine diagnoses, and plan of care. Provides optimal medical decision making and patient care management, consistent with the PHHS mission, to ensure good health outcomes. Uses written medical protocols and consultants appropriately.
2. Records health history, findings, treatments, and recommendations accurately, clearly, and concisely. Manages time effectively to ensure optimal use of patient and provider resources. Consults appropriately with supervising physicians and refers patients as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
3. Includes patients and/or families in determining the plan of care, when appropriate. Educates patients and families to ensure self-management, follow-up, and compliance with established treatment. Arranges appropriate follow up appointments. Develops appropriate patient education materials. May participate in community outreach activities to promote education and PHHS as a patient centered/patient valued healthcare provider.
4. Trains, supervises, and evaluates APP students and contributes to the education of residents, interns, and other healthcare trainees. Serves as a clinical resource to other APPs and other allied health professionals. Serves as a role model for junior staff and APP students.
5. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements and trends in given practice field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations. Participates in PHHS education activities, attends, and provides in-services. Educates peers and staff both formally and informally. Seeks information to ensure maintenance of a collaborative learning environment. Integrates new knowledge into their practice, takes initiative to learn new techniques and procedures and shares skills and information with the healthcare team.
6. Collaborates and maintains positive working relationships between all PHHS staff. Provides patient centered care with a focus on good customer service and patient satisfaction.
7. Maintains and implements knowledge of all applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact their respective APP fields. Develops effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and the program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state, and private health plans. Maintains current professional certifications and licensure as required by the organization and the APP's governing body. Seeks advice and guidance as necessary to ensure proper understanding. Timely completion of all assigned modules and yearly PHHS obligations as defined by the corporate compliance department.
8. Identifies work processes and flows for the assigned department. Suggests appropriate changes to improve work effectiveness, productivity and efficiency that support the overall goals of PHHS or the area. Participates in QA/QI projects. May participate in clinical research or clinical drug trials.
9. Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring annual goals and objectives for the department that support the mission and objectives of PHHS and the department. Attends regular staff meetings. Serves on multi-disciplinary and committees as selected and assigned.

Responsibilities:
Help with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, dressing, and incontinence care
Take clients for walks, trips to activities or social events or errands
Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
Simple meal preparations and light housekeeping
Help with transferring and safe mobility
If you cover night and overnight shifts:
Assist with nighttime routines such as preparing for bed and personal care and provide occasional incontinence care
Stay awake and alert at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of clients throughout the night
Maintain a calm environment to ensure clients get the restful sleep they need
Our caregiving roles involve providing companionship, personal care, and light housekeeping. All our clients have different needs and specific care plans. We will not match with a client that requires help beyond your comfort level and knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Homehealthaides are assigned to a specific patient by a registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional, with written patient care instructions for a homehealthaide prepared by that registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional (that is, physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, or occupational therapist).
A homehealthaide provides services that are:
Ordered by the physician or allowed practitioner;
Included in the plan of care;
Permitted to be performed under state law; and
Consistent with the homehealthaide training.
The duties of a homehealthaide include:
The provision of hands-on personal care;
The performance of simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services;
Assistance in ambulation or exercises; and
Assistance in administering medications ordinarily self-administered.
Homehealthaides must be members of the interdisciplinary team, must report changes in the client's condition to a registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional, and must complete appropriate records in compliance with the Madea Home Care Services LLC policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONSMedicare §484.80 Condition of participation: Homehealthaide services.
A qualified homehealthaide is a person who has successfully completed:
A training and competency evaluation program as specified in paragraphs (b) and (c) respectively of this section; or
A competency evaluation program that meets the requirements of paragraph (c) of this section; or
A nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the state as meeting the requirements of 42 CFR Part 484§438.151 through §483.154 of this chapter, and is currently listed in good standing on the state nurse aide registry; or
The requirements of a state licensure program that meets the provisions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of this section.
A homehealthaide or nurse aide is not considered to have completed a program, as specified in paragraph (a)(1) of this section, if, since the individual's most recent completion of the program(s), there has been a continuous period of 24 consecutive months during which none of the services furnished by the individual as described in 42 CFR Part 484§409.40 of this chapter were for compensation. If there has been a 24-month lapse in furnishing services for compensation, the individual must complete another program, as specified in paragraph (a)(1) of this section, before providing services.
State of Texas 26 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §558.701. HomeHealthAides.
A homehealthaide may be used by an agency providing licensed homehealth services if the aide meets one the following requirements:
a minimum of one year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility);
one year of full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in an agency setting;
satisfactorily completed a training and competency evaluation program that complies with the requirements of this section;
satisfactorily completed a competency evaluation program that complies with the requirements of this section;
submitted to the agency documentation from the director of programs or the dean of a school of nursing that state that the individual is a nursing student who has demonstrated competency in providing basic nursing skills in accordance with the school's curriculum; or
listed on the HHSC nurse aide registry (NAR) with no finding against the aide relating to the client abuse or neglect or misappropriation of client property.
A homehealthaide must have provided homehealth services within the previous 24 months to qualify under subsection (a)(3) or (4) of this section.
Assignment, delegation, and supervision of services provided by homehealthaides must be performed in accordance with rules in this chapter governing the agency's license category.
REQUIREMENTS
18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Must pass a comprehensive background check, fingerprint screening, drug screening, Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) check and Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) check. Continued employment and contracting opportunities are contingent upon adherence to all required screening standards and full participation in periodic and random drug testing in accordance with Madea Home Care Services LLC policies and applicable state regulations.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (preferred).
Minimum one year experience with senior care, disability support, or homehealth care.
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. and perform physical caregiving duties.

Classroom and supervised practical training must total at least 75 hours.
A minimum of 16 hours of classroom training must precede a minimum of 16 hours of supervised practical training as part of the 75 hours.
All HomeHealthAides must successfully complete all Medicare- and state-required training and competency standards which must include but are not limited to:
Communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to clients/patients, representatives, and caregivers, as well as to other HHA staff;
Observation, reporting, and documentation of a client's/patient's status and the care or services furnished;
Reading and recording temperature, pulse, and respiration;
Basic infection control prevention and control procedures and instruction on universal precautions;
Basic elements of body functioning and changes in the body function that must be reported to an aide's supervisor;
Maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment;
Recognizing emergencies and knowledge of emergency procedures and their application.
The physical, emotional, and developmental needs of and ways to work with the populations served by the agency including the need for respect for the client/patient and his or her privacy and property;
Appropriate techniques in performing personal hygiene and grooming that include:
Bed bath;
Sponge, tub, and shower bath;
Hair shampooing in sink, tub, and bed;
Nail and skin care;
Oral hygiene;
Toileting and elimination;
Safe transfer techniques and ambulation;
Normal range of motion and positioning;
Adequate nutrition and fluid intake;
Recognizing and reporting changes in skin conditions;
Any other task the agency may choose to have the homehealthaide perform in accordance with 26 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §558.298 relating to Delegation of Nursing Tasks by Registered Professional Nurses to Unlicensed Personnel and Tasks Not Requiring Delegation);
The rights of the elderly.
The HHA must maintain documentation that demonstrates that the requirements of this standard have been met.++

The Comforted Kitty is contracting with independent cat sitters in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. This is a 1099 independent contractor role (not W-2). You choose your availability and service area; we match you with clients based on fit and demand.
What You'll Do
Provide in-home cat sitting for drop-ins and overnights
Follow client instructions precisely: food, water, litter, enrichment
Support meds when applicable (based on your skill level and comfort)
Keep the home tidy + handle small tasks (mail, plants, trash)
Send updates after each visit (notes + photos) via our app
Service Types
Drop-in visits: 30 / 45 / 60 minutes (1-3x daily)
Overnights: 10-hour stays in the client's home
24-hour live-in care: overnight + staying in client's home most of daytime

Requirements (Read Carefully - Screening)
Must have:
18+ and cat care experience (professional not required, but real experience is)
A smartphone with reliable internet + camera (updates are required)
Ability to pass a background check and provide references
Strong written communication and responsiveness
Professionalism entering and working in clients' homes
Strongly preferred:
Medication experience (oral meds, injections, fluids) and/or Pet First Aid/CPR
Availability during peak times (especially winter holidays)
