    Purpose: The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Knight's Redi-Mix, Knight's Precast, and Knight's Companies' electrical systems, to include all plants, batching equipment, office buildings, and other applicable systems/structures. This position will also work directly with the Construction Manager to assist in the installation of new and upgraded electrical systems as needed. Essential Functions: Adhere to all company safety and environmental policies and regulations, including OSHA and state-specific standards. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local ordinances. Routinely inspect existing electrical systems, identifying potential issues before they escalate. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in plants, batching equipment, office buildings, and related infrastructure. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Coordinate with the Plant Maintenance Manager and Plant Managers to assess and prioritize maintenance tasks. Perform repairs using appropriate tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pneumatic hammers/drills, and other specialized electrical equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system upgrades. Document electrical drawings and update them as modified. Train plant personnel on basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. Mentor junior electricians and maintenance staff as needed. Assist the Construction Manager in planning and executing electrical installations and upgrades for new and existing facilities. Install wiring, control systems, and electrical components following industry standards and company protocols. Test installed electrical systems for safety and performance. Regularly participate in safety meetings and training sessions. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Maintain an active Electrical Contractor's license as required. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed. Be available for on-call maintenance emergencies as needed. Assist in maintaining inventory levels for electrical supplies and equipment. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical installations and repairs required. Current Electrical Contractor's license, or the ability to obtain licensing within a reasonable period. Prior experience in a ready mix concrete plant strongly preferred. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to safely use miscellaneous tools, such as sledgehammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pneumatic hammer/drill. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast paced, high pressure environment. Must be able to work cooperatively with others. Must be able to work varying work shifts with varying start and stop times. Ability to travel is required. Overtime work plus nights and weekends as needed. Experience complying with OSHA and state environmental regulations required. Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach, and operate a computer keyboard. Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and/or ladders.
