Job Description Summary
The primary functions of the electrician include but are not limited to Installation of new electrical equipment, troubleshooting and ensuring quality repairs to plant equipment and electrical systems in a safe, efficient and productive manner and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Responsible for maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self, shop and work areas.
Ability to comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

YOUR ROLE:
Our Industrial Maintenance Tech performs routine and non routine complex maintenance on plant equipment and machinery. Maintenance Techs have the ability to work on more complex and specialized tasks that could include; electrical/electronic work, mechanics, welding, and machining
This is a 1st shift position at our Monett facility working Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm with mandatory overtime as needed. Candidates will need to be available for O/T during the week and/or weekends when needed to support production schedules and machine breakdowns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Makes recommendations to Maintenance Supervisor about set up, maintenance schedules and processes, and potential outsourcing of maintenance projects.
Performs routine preventive maintenance duties that include; machine lubrication, chemical changes in wash/dip tanks, belt changing, and equipment inspections to minimize repair cost and prevent equipment failures.
Assist in the set up of new machinery and facility layout.
Work within the company maintenance tracking system to assist in maintaining a record of preventative and regular maintenance performed.
Communicates equipment failures and unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.

SUMMARY: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment in the assigned area. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is required to work with all types of hand tools, powered tools, lifts, welding/cutting tools, fabrication tools, compressors, food processing equipment, high voltage equipment, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in assigned area.
Perform maintenance duties including, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair with limited supervision.
Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal in an efficient manner.
Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
Respond to plant emergencies including Haz-Mat incidents, equipment malfunction, fires, severe weather, etc. as directed by supervision.
Lock out / tag out certification.
Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
Special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required
High school diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating, and cooling systems, plumbing and/or electrical
Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Basic welding experience
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Have or obtain tools needed to perform the above tasks

Position Overview
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for general daily maintenance and operation in all aspects of facility electrical, secondary power, both high and low voltage systems in all facilities. The position will require scheduling flexibility and will include some nights and weekends. Overtime is available for this position.
