DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Signal Electrician performs preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems. The incumbent will be technically inclined, knowledgeable, and able to maintain various electrical systems, ensuring safety requirements and operating standards are met. The Signal Electrician reports to the Traffic Maintenance Foreman. Additional responsibilities include: * Installation and maintenance of electrical traffic controllers, devices, and related equipment for the traffic system network. * Installs and maintains telecommunication equipment the DelDOT Traffic Management Center (TMC) uses to communicate with City intersections. * Maintains traffic signals, pedestrian signals, and street lighting.
