Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support Radiology and Cardiology PACS systems
Manage daily PACS operations including configuration, user access, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
Support clinical imaging workflows and DICOM connectivity
Act as a Tier III escalation resource for junior PACS administrators
Mentor and support team members with issue resolution and best practices
Work with IT teams on the technology side of PACS, including systems architecture, databases, and networking concepts
Support the enterprise transition to a single PACS platform (Sectra), migrating from disparate legacy systems

Position Overview:
The Epic Certified ODBA Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of system-related technologies, including hardware, operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and system performance. This role ensures the seamless operation and integration of these systems within the OCHIN and member technology environment. The Technical Advisor will monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and plan necessary upgrades to meet organizational needs. In addition to system maintenance, the Epic Certified ODBA Systems Engineer provides technical guidance and mentorship to team members, offering expertise and support on complex issues. They will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system configurations align with current requirements and proactively address any potential challenges to system availability and capacity.
Essential Functions:
System Administration and Infrastructure Management: Specify, operate, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems (server and desktop platforms). Ensure production infrastructure meets service level commitments and system performance standards. Oversee Active Directory Enterprise Administration, Group Policy management, and automation through scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) to optimize system processes and configurations.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) Leadership and Technical Guidance: Act as OCHIN's SME for key systems and platforms, including Windows engineering, Citrix infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, and Epic Hyperspace & Desktop. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, ensuring best practices and solution alignment with organizational goals. Guide teams through complex technical challenges and system configurations.
Project and Solution Management: Lead or participate in complex customer and internal projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective system solutions. Research, analyze, and propose system and platform improvements that align with business and service needs. Develop technical specifications and roadmaps for evolving enterprise solutions, ensuring integration with other key systems, such as Epic and related operational databases.
Process Optimization and Automation: Proactively and reactively identify opportunities for process optimization and problem prevention across technologies and teams. Implement automation of routine tasks and optimize hardware/software platforms to improve system performance, reduce downtime, and ensure scalable operations. Document and standardize system procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
On-Call Support and Continuous Improvement: Participate in an on-call rotation, acting as the escalation point for technical issues and providing support for other Systems Engineers. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by maintaining solid technical competence, mentoring team members, and driving alignment between technology, business, and IT operations. Support the creation and upkeep of documentation and contribute to OCHIN's overall IT knowledge repository.

This system is based on-board the Pacific Tracker currently berthed in Portland, OR. This engineer will join our growing team that provides range support services for ballistic and hypersonic test missions for DoD and NASA. We cover mission planning, networks and systems engineering, telemetry, radar tracking and imaging, data and voice communications, logistics, and cybersecurity aspects of missile testing at ranges all over the world.
The engineer in this position will operate and maintain the XTR-1 radar system and subsystems to meet mission requirements. Candidate will work with various customer organizations to understand mission requirements and the XTR-1 system's impact to the mission. As the primary caretaker of the radar system, candidate will be with the system during all test events and work on-board the Pacific Tracker while the ship is in port. Trip durations are dependent on customer test mission, that are typically scheduled well in advance but subject to modifications on short notice. The standard trips last between 2 and 4 weeks. Total trips per year are also dependent on customer schedules, and average between 4 and 8.
Responsibilities will include:
Operate and maintain ship-borne multi-band radar system and subsystems; including high-powered transmitters, receivers, modulators, timing and control systems, cooling systems, antenna hardware and associated interconnects
Perform daily calibrations and systems testing ensuring the radar remains mission capable
Conduct System Administrator responsibilities with Linux RHEL OS, CISCO iOS, Windows, and associated computer applications
Develop system documentation to include creating standard operating procedures, network drawings and electrical schematics
Maintain and update systems and patches to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) requirements

The Site Operations team is responsible for the delivery of data center compute and storage at Meta, enabling our family of apps and services to support a growing global community. We are seeking a forward-thinking individual skilled across multiple disciplines to lead global initiatives on this team. The mission of this role is to identify and tackle the biggest technical and operational challenges and opportunities before SiteOps. The InfrastructureEngineer is expected to personally advance our highest impact initiatives, and to work with others to closure through the right working groups and delegates. The scope of the role is Infra-wide; the DC Infra Engineer is expected to work with the data center teams, Core Systems, CEA, PE, and hardware engineering to architect and implement adaptable solutions that transform our infrastructure in dimensions including performance, efficiency, quality, and resiliency. Areas of emphasis include next gen platforms, tools, and technologies; the interplay between our platforms and data centers; and the underlying architecture of our infrastructure including physical vs logical layer trade-offs.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
* Knowledge of the full stack of infrastructure, with experience building or operating logical infrastructure on top of a complex, distributed physical infrastructure
* Proven communication skills and experience working in a highly distributed environment, across teams/department boundaries
* 10+ years of technical experience, in a large-scale data center or IT Infrastructure environment, or equivalent experience building platforms and systems for large scale compute
* Experience building globally scalable solutions and translating global strategic initiatives into local executable projects
* Knowledge of the interdependencies of data center functions and technologies including electrical, cooling, structured cabling, security, network, server and storage systems
* Experience building, operating, and scaling with Linux or Unix Operating systems
* Experience communicating the results of analysis and insights to cross functional teams and influencing the strategy of these teams
* Experience with Data Center Design and Expansion
Preferred Qualifications
* Extensive knowledge of storage and AI/ML related services and the hardware that supports them
* Coding or scripting experience such as Bash, PHP, Python, SQL, or Perl
* Experience in providing technical guidance to external vendors and partners. Knowledge and experience with virtualization, containerization, distributed systems, fault tolerance, and incident management
* Experience with high level data center design, operations, basic electrical/mechanical infrastructure, and scaling physical infrastructure
Responsibilities
* Represent Site Operations in leading work to define and architect new solutions on global initiatives, working with stakeholders across Infra Data Centers & Infrastructure teams
* Assemble and lead teams to address complex engineering challenges, requiring technical expertise as well as a broad understanding of Meta's overall infrastructure
* Address issues that can be ambiguous and global in nature, requiring leadership and collaboration across time zones, teams, and technical domains
* Act as key SME and mentor in the design, operation, and troubleshooting of tools, technologies, and processes utilized within Site Operations
* Understand and assess risks and challenges associated with emerging new hardware, data center and software technologies, and define & implement effective mitigations for these
* Employ a holistic understanding of the full infrastructure stack to lead solutions that appropriately balance physical and logical layer
* Act as a global communication and advisory point of contact for the design, implementation and delivery of projects that affect our global data center and server fleet and facilitate resolution of issues drawing on local expertise and global support partners
* Leverage data-driven methodologies to understand a problem at the onset, define a plan, and measure progress throughout a project
* Provide data supplied narratives and ensure a focus on continuous improvement
* Build and support, trusted, cross-functional connections with teams across the globe and serve as an advocate for the Site Operations Team with key stakeholders, influencing policies and procedures to improve global data center operations
* Approximately 20% - 30% travel
