Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
Management of daily field testing/inspection activities performed by technicians and/or inspector assigned to your project.
Scheduling/assigning field staff to various projects based on the project's needs and the field staff capabilities.
Review of daily field reports and test data for accuracy, as well as preparation of monthly summary reports
Management of project budgets.
Communication with contractors and owners concerning our testing & inspection services, including distribution of reports and test data are distributed to the project teams in a timely manner.
You will have the opportunity to attend monthly and preconstruction meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Do you enjoy spending time outside and being hands on? You will be needed to perform inspections and testing at project sites as necessary/qualified.
Get social. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining contact with our great clients and networking to develop new ones.
Qualifications
Five years or greater of progressive engineering and/or testing/inspection experience required for those holding a Bachelor degree in engineering or related field of study. (strongly preferred); or
Seven years or greater of progressive engineering and/or testing/inspection experience required for those holding an Associate degree in engineering or related field of study; or
Twelve years or greater of progressive engineering and/or testing/inspection experience (no degree); or
NCDOT and American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Technician Level I certification required.

A Red Valve Quality Inspector must be a highly motivated, creative, self-starter who will perform a variety of quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, and parts, at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Ensure quality of manufactured goods
* Inspect finished goods
* Examine materials from suppliers before sending them to production
* Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies
* Perform quick visual inspections
* Perform complex tests using instruments and equipment
* Test, measure, and analyze products
* Take samples for testing
* Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process
* Record pass/fail grade of products
* Produce detailed reports
* Comply with various ISO operating procedures, work instructions
* Observe dials, gauges and indicators to make sure that a machine is working properly
* Count numbers of products tested or inspected
* Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents
* RMA - issuing and processing
* Responsible for final inspection and signoff, and will stamp "OK-Lead"
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of two years related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in quality inspecting.
Skills/Experience
* 3+ years of quality or other related business experience
* Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred or equivalent field experience or training
* Practical knowledge of Lean business practices
* Excellent time management, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical skills

POSITION OVERVIEW (Job Summary):
The QC Inspector will ensure that fabricated assembly components or finished goods manufactured at the CPM Lexington facility are in accordance with the current Acceptable Manufacturing Practices that meet internal specifications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age.
