Summary:
The Lead Inspector is the person primarily responsible for ensuring inspections are completed accurately and in a timely manner, delegating these responsibilities as appropriate. This position also assists the Quality Assurance Manager in his duties, helping with audits, documentation, and other quality-related duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to authorized shop inspectors in the performance of their duties
Perform inspections of in-process and completed work to ensure it conforms to standards
Inspect parts for conformity to engineering drawing specifications
Provide technical and compliance support to shop supervision and personnel
Perform Receiving inspection duties for purchased material and services
Prepare and execute maintenance release and certification documents. Complete FAA Form 337 in support of major repairs and alterations, update customer aircraft weight, balance & equipment list and other compliance documentation as required.
Perform internal audits and coordinate corrective actions of the company quality system requirements
Assist with the tool & test equipment calibration program and employee training requirements
Assist with the completion of quality system documentation and development and publishing of quality system manuals and supporting procedures
Work independently in the performance of their assigned duties, set priorities for self and others, and maintain good communication with company leadership
Travel to perform onsite inspections when required for AOG or other unique needs situations

Qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
FAA inspection Authorization certification preferred
5 years experience in aviation maintenance activity
2 years experience in an inspection role with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of an article or conformity of a part
Skills & Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of FAA rules and regulations, especially the requirements for the inspection process
Working knowledge of 14 CFR part 21, 43, 145
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Ability to to understand and correctly interpret engineering drawings
Work Environment:
Work will primarily be performed in a climate-controlled hangar, with exposure to fumes, smoke, loud sounds, etc. Occasional work in the elements may be required with exposure to hot, cold, windy, or wet weather likely.
Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting 50 pounds, and working in varying weather conditions if needed, with frequent walking, standing, sitting and ability to access tight spaces in the performance of inspection duties.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements (to be considered you must have the following):
Computer with an internet connection
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas)

Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour.
Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Operations Technician II, Manual Production performs various operations including but not limited to straightening, buffing, and grinding on parts to achieve the required dimensional specifications. They are also cross-trained on and can perform numerous operations within manual production without supervision.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform Visual & Dimensional Inspection of castings per tech card using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; hand grinding equipment, measuring tools.
Confirm discrepancies using appropriate tools including, but not limited to calipers, pin gages, measuring instruments and surface profilometers as required.
Rework discrepancies as allowed by tech card using appropriate tools, route to salvage operations as necessary with required documentation.
Review rework and scrap castings with department lead as necessary.
Identify and record as “Scrap” all castings that do not meet customer specifications after rework.
Route “Scrap” castings to designated area.
Complete proper documentation as required including, but not limited to, process routing card, salvage router, scrap tags, dimensional reports, etc.
Perform or assist in performing training of personnel as directed by the department supervisor or lead.
Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.

Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.

Job Designation
The Quality Inspector provides technical support to the quality team. Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components and parts at various stages of the production process, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
Job Core Responsibilities
-Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components on all types of standard and special products, to insure alignment with product requirements and quality standards
- Provides detail analysis, troubleshooting and evaluation of components, assemblies and systems
- Maintains documentation records and data on tests performed
- Sets up or builds special test panels to facilitate testing and /or evaluation as needed
- Recommends quality control solutions to complex problems and implements corrective actions

The ANSI Inspector will perform inspections on aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes and digger derricks. ANSI inspections ensure that they are in safe working order by conducting a review of the major components.
Responsibilities
Perform structural tests including
Acoustic emission tests to assess the integrity of the fiberglass and steel structure
Magnetic particle inspections to identify surface cracks on ferrous metals
Torque test all critical fasteners, among others.
Dielectric testing to verify the electrical insulating strength in the FRP upper and lower booms, bucket, liners, FRP extensions on digger derricks, tool circuits, and upper control system.
Qualifications
Mechanically inclined.
Basic knowledge of mechanical processes, movement, and assembly.
Basic knowledge of hand tools.
Proficient computer skills.
