    Job Description NM Residential is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to support installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage systems across our properties. This part-time role is ideal for a technician experienced with Control4, access control systems (2N & Linear), and IC Realtime camera systems. The schedule is flexible based on project needs. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Control4 home automation systems, including controllers, touch panels, audio/video distribution, and network integration. Install and service access control systems, specifically 2N and Linear, including door stations, keypads, card readers, and related hardware. Install, configure, and troubleshoot IC Realtime camera systems, including cameras, NVRs, and remote access setup. Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, coax, control wiring). Diagnose signal, power, and connectivity issues across all systems. Provide on-site maintenance support and perform system updates as needed. Document work performed, materials used, and system configurations. Ensure installations follow safety standards, building codes, and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with managers, onsite teams, and vendors to complete projects efficiently. Qualifications Required: Proven experience with Control4 systems, including installation and basic programming. Hands-on experience with 2N and Linear access control systems. Strong working knowledge of IC Realtime camera systems. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Proficiency with low-voltage wiring tools, testers, and general hand tools. Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred: Control4 certifications (not required but beneficial). Experience working in residential or commercial property environments. Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, port forwarding, routers/switches). Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required.
