Experience with telecommunication room build-outs (racks, ladder racks, wire management, backboards).
Understanding of industry standards and testing requirements for various cable categories.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Education & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; BICSI certification a plus.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders or lifts as needed.

Proper record keeping and be able to review cable records as necessary.
Knowledge, understanding, and practice of safety regulations within OSHA, NESC, NEC, and other construction-related guidelines.
Maintain equipment and vehicle to a high standard.
Work indoors and outdoors as needed.
Iterate to the project/construction managers detailed accounts of field activity, both verbal and written.
Coordinate with tech ops managers to verify and perform work as directed.
Night work as needed for things like node splits.
Able to be on call for emergencies involving damaged cables.
Must know ribbon fiber.
Must know fiber to the home.
Knowledge required by a Fiber Splicer
Telecommunications- Knowledge of transmission and CATV telecommunications systems.
Public Safety- Knowledge of keeping the work area safe for the public.
Computers and Electronics- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware/software for keeping proper records.
Mechanical- Knowledge of optical splicing equipment like a cleaver, splicer, and bucket truck
Work Conditions - Field environment, working in inclement weather; Flexibility of schedule.
