**About the Project**
Rock Island Arsenal is replacing its access control system, and we are hiring skilled **Low Voltage Installers** to support the installation of a new **Hirsch Identiv Access Control System** and **CCTV system** . This role involves working inside a secure federal facility and requires strict adherence to all security protocols.
This is a **Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage** project offering consistent work for at least six months, with strong potential for ongoing nationwide travel assignments afterward.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Install and upgrade low voltage access control systems
+ Pull cable, install field devices, and complete field/head‑end terminations
+ Install and test CCTV components
+ Program devices and system components (Hirsch Identiv, CCure 9000, etc.)
+ Remove existing Software House CCure 9000 system components
+ Troubleshoot issues to reduce return trips and maintain project efficiency
+ Work professionally within a government facility and follow all security requirements
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ Hands‑on experience with **low voltage installation** , access control, and CCTV
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Pay: $22 per hour

From custom orders to entire fleets, Holman designs, manufactures, and installs equipment for a wide variety of customers, trades, and industries. We have solutions for service bodies, mechanic bodies, platform bodies, dump bodies, gooseneck bodies, light-duty trucks, and vans. We install ladder racks, partitions, truck mounted welders and generators, floor liners, shelving, cranes, and other electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic equipment.
What will you do?
- Install new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles
- Build vehicles according to work instructions and prints
- Safely mount and connect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
- Test installed parts prior to final inspection
- Verify all line items have been completed on the work order
- Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process
What are we looking for?
- 2-4 years of previous electrical, mechanical, and equipment assembly experience required
