    Part-time Description The Recreation Coordinator supports the Group-Living Director (GLD) by ensuring that evenings, weekends, and all non-school hours are well scheduled and filled with group experiential learnings, and fun activities on and off campus. Compensation The hourly rate for this position is outlined below: $19.00 per hour Schedule This is a full-time position and is normally assigned to weekdays. This schedule may require three evenings per week. DBH reserves the right to require overtime, weekend work, and/or assignment to evening or night shifts, depending upon operational need, some in and out of state travel may be required. Certification/Licensure The successful candidate must be certified as a Family Peer Support Specialist (FPSS) by the Office of Substance Use and Mental Health.     Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Family Peer Support Specialist (FPSS) to join the Children, Youth, and Families Mental Health team. The Family Peer Support Specialist (FPSS) works closely with families who have children and adolescents with complex mental health needs. They offer hope, guidance, advocacy, and camaraderie for parents and caregivers of children and youth receiving services from mental health, substance use, and related services systems. They bring expertise based on their own experience parenting a child or youth with social, emotional, behavioral, or substance use challenges, as well as specialized training, to support other parents and caregivers. Peer support is provided through face-to-face support groups, phone calls, or individual meetings. They link families to local resources and supports, provide family advocacy, and facilitate wraparound services. Essential Job Functions The Children, Youth, and Families FPSS is responsible for the following job duties: Meet agency productivity standard. Maintain documentation as required by agency standards. In addition to the essential job functions outline above, the following responsibilities are assigned to your specific position Link parents/caregivers and families with systems of care that provide them with resources, services, and opportunities to improve their quality of life. Advocate for individuals and families who need assistance while encountering barriers in connecting with systems of care. Assist families in gathering natural supports and resources for becoming independent of agencies. Facilitate recovery groups as appropriate. Develop working relationships with partner agencies to effectively facilitate referrals and coordination of services. Provide individual and family psychoeducation via workshops, presentations, etc. Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed. Participate in regular staff meetings and regularly scheduled supervision. Compensation The hourly rate for this position is outlined below: $19.00 per hour Schedule This is a full-time position and is normally assigned to weekdays. This schedule may require three evenings per week. DBH reserves the right to require overtime, weekend work, and/or assignment to evening or night shifts, depending upon operational need, some in and out of state travel may be required. The proposed schedule for this position is: Monday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Wednesday & Thursday 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm Work schedules at DBH are established to meet the needs of our clients and the agency. Program Supervisors, with the approval of Program Directors, determine the specific schedules for their assigned departments and have the authority to ask employees to work a different shift and/or in a different location on a short-term or permanent basis to meet the departments' needs. Required Qualifications Experience The FPSS certification requires that an individual be a parent or other family member of a child or youth who has struggled with a serious emotional disturbance and has received mental health and/or substance use treatment and support services. Experience working with youth/young adults and families. Education High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in related field is highly preferred but not required. Certification/Licensure The successful candidate must be certified as a Family Peer Support Specialist (FPSS) by the Office of Substance Use and Mental Health. The successful candidate must also complete certification as a Behavioral Health Case Manager (BHCM) with the Utah Department of Health and Human services within the first 30 days of employment. Complete behavior management training (Welle) within 30 days of employment. Complete all required training that is assigned to the Family Peer Support Specialist position by defined deadlines. Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. All employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug screening. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. A clean driving record is also required to utilize the DBH vehicle fleet.
