The Job You Will Perform:
This role will work closely with a variety of different groups and departments within Packaging Solutions North America (PSNA) but will report directly to the Region General Manager with functional reporting to the Area Manufacturing Manager.
The Regional Throughput Engineer responsibility is to increase the overall productivity of the region by analyzing facility performance utilizing key metrics: Corrugator MSF/hour, Converting MSF/hour, maintenance budget, and electrical & mechanical downtime. The Regional Throughput Engineer will also have influence in assisting the region with capital allocation decisions and defining implementation strategies.
To effectively impact performance, the Regional Throughput Engineer should understand effective throughput management with ability to lead & speak to troubleshooting efforts, familiarity with maintenance budgets, and comfort working with key suppliers & creating influence without authority.
The Skills You Will Bring:
* BS/BA in Engineering; preferred Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial
* 5+ Years of manufacturing experience
* Experience in a heavy industrial environment in operations and/or maintenance
* Corrugated packaging manufacturing experience preferred.

* Coordinate and review vendor equipment, installation and other discipline drawings for operability and maintainability input
* Assist in checkout and start-up activities, conduct post completion audits of all capital projects in your region
* Provide support for budgeting cycle targeted at delivering year over year savings
* Ability to assist & assure both monthly waste and MSF/HR plans are effective and being implemented
* Identify bottlenecks within plants and aid in development of plans to increase machine speed

The primary function of the Coating Turret Operator is the safe day-to-day support of the coating line. * Ensuring splicing tape backing is removed 3 minutes prior to rotating the winder for splicing.
* Preparation of rolls for finishing.
* Enter roll information into the computer correctly and accurately.
* Roll label printing.
* Band and label rolls, label directional arrow should point in the roll unwind direction.
* Stamp the correct roll number on the end of each roll.
* Stamp the correct unwind direction on the end of each roll.
* Assist as required during line start-up and web breaks.
* Assist as required during end of run shutdown.
