What you will do
Our continued growth has produced a need for a hardworking Life Safety Systems Sales Executive, Electronic to join our team. In this exciting and rewarding role the responsibilities will include expertly representing the Company with respect to the promotion and sale of Fire Safety Systems to customers and end users within an assigned territory and accounts.
How you will do it
Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing Johnson Controls marketing strategies.

Responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with the architectural, engineering and specifier community to educate about Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC (METUS) products and their applications, along with increase the number of specifications, and subsequent sales within an assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform direct and joint sales calls to develop relationships with local architects, engineers, and contractors-educating them on applying CITY MULTI Variable Refrigerant Flow systems and other Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC products.
Deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and commercial sales channels.
Occasional job site visits to support customers and service group members.
Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and industry trade shows.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $72,800 and $100,100/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Inspector / CMM Operator to lead precision inspection efforts in our metals manufacturing facility. What will you do
Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers. Performs or delegates tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout. Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects including costs, project billings, and collections. Maintains an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results. Actively pursues selling change orders. Coordinates communication with the customer during all phases of the project. Ensures proper execution of warranty. Provides work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary. Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Adheres and ensures Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.
How will you do it
Completes typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required. Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers, Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors.
Actively pursues additional work through change orders. Evaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and/or scheduling changes. Communicates both technical and business-related issues with the clients.
Manages the selection, ordering, budget and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.
Secures pricing and availability from outside vendors and suppliers, mechanical and electrical subcontractors including scope, terms and conditions. May request several bids in pricing process. Oversees subcontractor payment and billing processes.
Provides jobsite coordination for panel and field device physical locations. Ensures installation is in accordance with Johnson Controls literature and project requirements.
Manages and completes the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validates complete system functionality and resolves issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation. Provides accurate project as built and commissioning documentation.
Manages costs, billings and collections. Completes project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client. Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow. Schedules monthly project cost in cost accounting system. Responsible for project cost hitting projects as scheduled.
Provides coaching, mentoring and technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers and System Designers. Provides technical assistance to subcontractors. Ensures that delegated tasks are done accurately, on time, billed, within budget and within scope of the contract.
Effectively communicates the status of projects to management as required and provides monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin.
Sends warranty letter to JCI customer upon substantial completion of project and ensures proper execution of warranty.
Develops project plans and coordinates the required resources to ensure timely and cost-effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
Performs site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensures owner/operator has been trained. Provides proper documentation and manuals for system operation.
Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants and subcontractors. Attends job progress meetings as required.
Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
What we look for
Required
Minimum of a technical Associates Degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience in the HVAC industry.
Must have relevant technical hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently.
Preferred
Strong personal computer skills.
Must have knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems.
Knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting preferred.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $95,000-$115,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) What you do
Be responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including fire, security, and other low voltage control sub-systems (i.e. lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the project requirements.
Accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs.

What we look for
Required Qualifications
Minimum of seven years of experience, or an associate degree in a related technical field with seven years of relevant work experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the construction, mechanical, electrical, or HVAC service industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. LON, BACnet, etc.).
Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools, such as Visio.
Preferred Qualifications

What you will do
Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program is a 6-month technical sales development program for Recent College Graduates that focuses on creating market share by strategic selling Johnson Controls' HVAC products and services to commercial customers. In this program you will have a chance to apply your technical engineering knowledge and business acumen to work with customers to better understand their product and project needs by being the subject matter expert. As part of the program, you will participate in a 6-month training and development program combining classroom, field orientation, and on the job training. You will learn our mechanical equipment and service offerings, customer relationship techniques and leadership skills in preparation for supporting customers in your territory alongside the sales team. You will be prepared to consult with architects, engineers, and building owners on product selections; partner with and learn from internal experts and deliver on business goals. You will be a critical part of a local sales team and a national network of sales professionals.

Estimate job bids and prepare proposals with contractors, architects and building owners
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
Complete sales calls to generate new business and build on existing relationships
