Job Description:
We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Electricians with Conduit Experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical work, a solid understanding of conduit systems, and a passion for learning and advancing their skills in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities:
Conduit Installation: Proficiently install, bend, and thread conduits of various types and sizes according to electrical specifications and project requirements.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of conduit systems.
Wiring and Termination: Assist in the wiring and termination of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
Material Handling: Responsible for the proper handling and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in conduit bending and installation is required. Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring, and terminations is a plus. Experience running/bending EMT conduit 1/2" to 1" is REQUIRED.
Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is desirable.
Skills:
Proficient in conduit bending, threading, and installation 1/2" to 1"
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Basic understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform duties requiring physical strength and endurance.

About the Role As a Maintenance Technician/Electrician at Kalmbach Feeds, you will be responsible for keeping our feed manufacturing equipment and facilities in top working order. This position requires expertise in both mechanical and electrical fields - from repairing machinery and welding to troubleshooting PLCs, wiring, and 3-phase systems.
The right candidate will be proactive, safety-minded, and able to balance immediate repair needs with long-term preventative maintenance. This role is hands-on and requires collaboration across departments to ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical
* Troubleshoot wiring, controls, and PLCs.
* Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and production equipment.
* Read and interpret electrical prints and schematics.
* Work with 3-phase electric systems.
* Ensure electrical safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
Mechanical/General Maintenance
* Perform preventative maintenance (lubrication, inspection, adjustments, etc.) on machinery and equipment.
* Repair, replace, remove, or modify manufacturing structures and mechanical components.
* Conduct welding, plumbing, metal fabrication, and other industrial trade tasks as needed.
* Install and maintain conveyors, motors, and plant systems.
* Inspect and evaluate parts and materials for performance and useful life.
* Operate tow motors, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, and other shop equipment.
* Maintain accurate daily records of all work in the computerized maintenance management system.
* Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
Other Duties
* Support plant safety by maintaining a safe work environment.
* Gather and transport project materials, parts, and tools.
* Perform corrective maintenance and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a related trade preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (5 years preferred).
* Demonstrated experience in both mechanical and electrical trades.
* Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (required).
* Full understanding of 3-phase electric.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical prints.
* Basic welding experience.
* State of Ohio boiler certification preferred.
* Valid driver's license with no suspensions.
* Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, work on raised platforms, and operate in dusty or outdoor environments.
* Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and variable shifts.
* Ability to wear a full-face respirator and pass pulmonary testing.
* Demonstrated sense of urgency, strong problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
