Collaborate with team to create dashboards and visualizations for Navy leadership. Compile recurring and ad hoc cybersecurity inspection metrics and trend reports. Administer and manage inspection artifacts in SharePoint folders and trackers for various stakeholders to review. Responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily operations of Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems. Provides training to designated range personnel on TDL equipment functionality and usage. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for operational and interoperability issues related to TDL systems. Coordinate with external TDL agencies, including training and testing facilities, to ensure system software, hardware, and architecture are up to date. Recommend and support the implementation of system modifications and capability upgrades. The Data Analyst provides high-level expertise in areas of data science and decision support analysis. The Role This is an UNPAID internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. HVN SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. Newport News Shipbuilding Internship programs are focused on placing transitioning military into internships that require KSAs, Education & Military Training similar to their current or previous military jobs; positions that could easily transition over to a full-time regular and permanent job with Newport News Shipbuilding. Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. Provides training to designated range personnel on TDL equipment functionality and usage.
