Assist in the program Maintain attendance and complete incident reporting. Observes the functioning of participants and reports progress and change to supervisors. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of program participants by providing close supervision of all activities Work as a member of a professional team that provides a positive growth-promoting environment for all children Keep the facility clean and conduct safety sweeps before beginning activities. Always know the whereabouts of all participants and the number of children in your care. Understand and communicate the YMCA philosophy and the goals of the Teen Program to the participants and parents. Meets at designated times with assigned supervisor to review progress Maintains the assigned work schedule that is in line with camp days and hours. Reports to work consistently, reliably, and at the scheduled times. Qualifications: Two years of related experience working with Teen and at-risk youth preferred Minimum age of 18 Within 30 days of hire, completion of Working with Program Volunteers, CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens training Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community Driver's License preferred Job Type: (Part-Time) 15-20hrs/week.
