Kingsbury company history timeline
Kingsbury began in 1978 when Richard (Dick) and Laura Kingsbury started Kingsbury Construction Co.
Optimation Technology, which was founded in 1985, is the parent company of Optimation, according to the company’s website.
In 1998, they purchased the Mad River Park, where the current maintenance shop and satellite offices are now located.
In the fall 0f 2003, Travis returned home to Vermont and again began working for the family business as Vice President of Operations.
After receiving a loan from his parents, Travis separated himself from Kingsbury Construction Co., Inc. and opened up Kingsbury Companies LLC in 2008.
Kingsbury Corp. operated for more than 100 years on Laurel Street in Keene before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2011.
Optimation Technology Inc. of Rush, N.Y., bought Kingsbury’s assets, including the brand name, for $3.1 million in January 2012.
Brian J. Thibeault of Manchester purchased the 300,000-square-foot structure and associated land for $50,000 at a foreclosure auction in 2013.
2018 marked the 10-year anniversary for Kingsbury Companies LLC and a whopping 40 years in business for Kingsbury Construction Company, Incorporated.
