Job Responsibilities
Supervise the day to day operations of the urinalysis, blood bank and serology department
Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner
Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department
Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverage
Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed
Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Vehicle Operations and Maintenance:
Drive, park, and maintain the Mobile Optical Lab vehicle (customized RV) for safe and efficient operation.
Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting for the vehicle and onboard optical lab equipment.
Ensure compliance with vehicle safety regulations, fuel management, and maintenance logs.
Optical Lab Responsibilities:
Perform lens edging, neutralization, frame adjustments, and final eyewear inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
Support frame selection, vision screenings, and optical measurements at service locations.
Maintain optical lab equipment and supply inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.

Community Engagement & Service Delivery:
Assist with vision screenings and eyewear dispensing at schools, community centers, and outreach events.

Required:
Minimum of 2 years of optical lab experience (lens edging, frame adjustments, neutralization, etc.).

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required).
Ability to safely drive, park, and maintain a large vehicle (training provided).
Willingness to undergo a Level II background check and drug test.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for transporting supplies and equipment.

Summary
Position Highlights:
Serves as a medical lab technician, working to cover assigned shift or workstation within the laboratory, as scheduled.
Follows the clinical laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.

THE ROLE: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

We are seeking to fill the role of Embryology Laboratory Supervisor in our Tampa, Florida location. If you have a passion for women's health and have at least 3 years of prior experience in a human IVF laboratory performing the essential functions of the role listed below, we look forward to hearing from you.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Performs all procedures required for IVF cycles, including medium and dish preparation, egg retrieval, sperm preparation, fertilization check, embryo evaluation, cryopreservation and thawing, transfer, ICSI and assisted hatching.
* Performs all andrology services, including preparation of semen samples for artificial inseminations and IVF, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed by World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
* Performs laboratory quality control (QC), quality assessment (QA), and participates in quality improvement (QI) programs, record keeping and collection of data.
* Performs other duties as assigned, and in keeping with company policies, procedures and standards of patient care and initiatives toward continuous improvement at the individual and organizational level
* Supports and actively participates in initiatives designed to improve individual and organizational performance
Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in science required; Master's degree preferred in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Medical Technology.
* 5 years of prior experience in human IVF laboratory is required.
* Ability to participate in a rotating schedule that includes some weekends.
* TS certificate is required.
* Must have performed at least 60 ART procedures under supervision.
* Experience with trophectoderm biopsy is required.
