Department: Utilities/Wastewater Collection Reports to: Field Supervisor Summary: Under basic supervision, leads and coordinates the activities of the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection (W/WW) maintenance and repair work crews; reviews work orders, and makes appropriate decisions based on work experience. Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years of experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of W/WW systems and infrastructure that is governed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality OR 2 years of work experience in the City of Odessa Water Distribution or Wastewater Collection divisions. Knowledge of: * Principles, practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in public utility maintenance. * Local, state, and federal water and wastewater regulations. * Safety standards for heavy equipment operation. * OSHA rules and regulations, and other safety requirements needed to maintain and repair W/WW plants and infrastructure. * Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and American Waste Water Associations rules and regulations. * Environmentally responsible and resource-efficient utility maintenance techniques.
