Cable, brace, tie, bolt, stake, and guy trees and branches to provide support
Cut away dead and excess branches from trees using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck boom, and/or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers
Lower branches with ropes or block and tackle
Transplant and remove trees and shrubs, and prepare trees for moving • Safe operation of shredding and chipping equipment, including the feeding of brush and limbs into machines
Safe operation of arbor vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to: boom trucks, loaders, stump chippers, brush chippers, tractors, sprayers, power saws, chainsaws, pole pruners, backpack blowers, and hand tools
Inspect trees to determine if they have disease or pest problems
Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment
Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time
expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures.

Position Summary
The Carpenter is responsible for executing a range of skilled tasks on commercial remodeling projects, including demolition, framing, millwork, FRP, and laminate installation. This role supports the Lead Carpenter in layout and measurement duties, operates tools safely, and contributes to maintaining an organized and efficient job site. The Carpenter is expected to perform tasks with increasing independence and precision while upholding quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform demolition, framing, millwork, FRP, and laminate installation according to project specifications.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist with layout and measurements under the direction of the Lead Carpenter.
Help maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
Execute assigned tasks with attention to detail and growing autonomy.
Work closely with the Lead Carpenter and crew to meet daily production goals.
Communicate progress, challenges, and material needs to field leadership.
Support a positive team environment and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
2-4 years of hands-on carpentry experience in commercial or retail construction.
Previous Experience working in Wal-Marts, Vons, Albertsons, Safeway, CVS etc. is a PLUS.
Familiarity with demolition, framing, finish carpentry, and specialty installations.
Experience working on active job sites with multiple trades and tight schedules.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
Basic understanding of construction drawings and layout plans.
Experience working on active job sites with multiple trades and tight schedules.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods on active construction sites.
Must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment of up to 75 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights as needed.
Must be able to work 90% Nights
