Job Description Omni PGA Frisco Golf Club is seeking a Greenskeeper I maintain the golf courses. Omni Frisco PGA Resort provides north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment. The Greenskeeper I position is responsible for maintaining the golf courses, including the turf and surrounding grounds as directed by the Golf Course Superintendents. Responsibilities Operate hand mowers on greens, aprons, tees, fairways, rough, lake banks, around tees and grounds. Exercises extreme care not to injure turf and shrubs; Practices safety while operating equipment and reports equipment or course issues immediately. Edge cart paths, flymo bunker faces, string trim lake banks and around tees, edges and rakes sand bunkers. Completion of jobs and cleanup of the work area as required. Excavate and back fills trenches with hand tools, operates utility vehicles as required. Make sure, while operating equipment and hand tools, that all necessary and supplied safety equipment is worn. (Glasses, ear plugs and hard hats) and that all tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored and maintained as required. Clean machines after use and makes minor adjustments to the equipment under the supervision of the mechanic. Commercial laundry rooms are equipped with single washing machines and/or stacked (double) clothes dryers which you will be required to move in order to repair and perform preventative maintenance. These machines range in weight from 120 to 300 pounds. On occasion, you may be required to move furniture from one model unit to another or move furniture items in a resident's apartment to accomplish certain repairs or to correct flood damage. This would require that you move items weighing several pounds to over 300 pounds. On occasion, you may be involved in repairs to the building structure. You may be required to move or transport several different building materials weighing several pounds to over 300 pounds. At certain times you will be required to perform maintenance on special equipment (i.e., exercise equipment, gas grills, golf carts, car washes, amenity areas, and security gates). All of these functions require different physical exertion and their weight depends on the particular equipment (usually in excess of 100 pounds). You will be required to perform certain resident service functions or make upgrades to the apartment home. An example will be to install lighting or ceiling fans. Responsible for daily maintenance to be done around the outside of the clubhouse, parking lot areas and around the golf course(s) as directed. Duties include, but not limited to, removal of trash and debris, blowing areas off, sweeping, raking, mulching, mowing, trimming, edging, watering, and planting material in order to make a clean appealing visual sight. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Daily removal of trash and debris from parking lots, bedding areas, and grass areas. Using a power blower, clean all sidewalks, staging areas and parking lots (daily). Weekly mow all clubhouse areas to keep all grass areas in a fresh mowed appearance as directed. Weekly edging and weed eating all areas that the mowing operation is not able to reach as directed. Safely using both manual and powered hedge trimmers, keep all shrubs neatly trimmed weekly. Pull all weeds that emerge from unsightly areas as they appear. Planting of annual flowers and color around clubhouse planters and beds around the golf courses as directed. Hand water with hose, bucket and water tank all areas needing water in time of stress. Put up and take down holiday decorations around and inside the main clubhouse if applicable. Assist with the golf course maintenance when necessary. Responsible for seeing that daily assignments is completed in the respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS. Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team. Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible.
