General Laborer - TIG/PASS/PT

The General Laborer will be responsible for cleaning welds according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate should possess an attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. They will also be responsible for operating and maintaining chemical passivation systems used to clean and treat metal parts, typically stainless steel, to enhance corrosion resistance. This role involves the safe handling of chemicals, precise monitoring of tank parameters, and adherence to safety and quality protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Primary Functions:
· Set up, operate, and maintain the TIG Brush system according to specific job requirements and safety protocols.
· Operate and monitor passivation tanks and associated equipment following standard operating procedures (SOP's).
· Effectively remove any discoloration, heat tint, oxides, and other contaminants from TIG welds using the TIG Brush and appropriate cleaning fluids.
· Prepare parts and materials for passivation, including cleaning, racking, and placement in tanks.
· Achieve a clean and corrosion-resistant finish on stainless steel and other metals.
· Mix and test chemical solutions to ensure proper concentration and effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary.
· Inspect cleaned welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
· Perform visual inspections of parts before and after treatment for cleanliness, finish quality, and conformance to specifications.
· Document all process parameters, maintenance checks, and batch information accurately and in a timely manner.
· Handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
· Clean and maintain the TIG Brush, brushes, leads, and other components to maximize their lifespan and ensure optimal performance.

Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-64 with a starting pay of $27.84/hour - $34.34/hour. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000 ($1500 on first paycheck, $1500 after earning permanent status (usually 1 year)). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.)

The DOC AODA program's mission is to provide offenders incarcerated at DAI or DCC with the opportunity to gain the personal resources needed to return to the community, to successfully complete parole/extended supervision, and to remain crime and chemical free. The manner of this program is designed so that participants may successfully complete all components in a minimum of 16 weeks. Program components are structured around discipline and rehabilitative programming using a cognitive-based approach.
Responsibilities:
Provide assessment and client screening within established time-lines.
Discuss and complete case management assessment incorporating information previously gathered through the client's DPP agent, referral packet, client application, and collateral resources.
Monitor and coordinate performance of each of the client's identified needs through an individualized treatment plan.
Assist the client in achieving objectives and maximizing independence and productivity through support and training in uses of personal community resources.
Reinforce and serve as a role model/teacher/liaison for implementing concepts and objectives identified by the team.
Educate and implement with client any or all basic living skills in order to maintain a drug-free lifestyle.
Maintain a continuous relationship with the client, assisting wherever and whenever required in the alleviation of crisis provoking situations, and assuring the provision of assessment, planning, linking, monitoring, advocacy and re-assessment in response to the client's changing needs.
Reinforce and encourage client's progress and utilization of the community resources and support systems.
Assist in monitoring and supervision of clients in the facility.
Provide assessment and treatment information to treatment team on an ongoing basis.
Contribute to the development and revision of each client's treatment plan according to established guidelines.
Participate in treatment plan review staffings for all clients.
Document clearly and concisely all assessments, treatment provided, and major communication regarding clients, in appropriate format. Maintain current and complete client records.
Work closely with Department of Corrections agents to ensure quality case planning.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
In our line of work, Dietary Aides not only assist our cooks by helping serve food and clean up after meals but also build relationships with our residents. We are now accepting applications for an evening Dietary Aide. This is an excellent opportunity for someone needing a flexible schedule, including students.
Specific Duties Include: Preparing trays, setting up dining room, pouring drinks prior to meals, serving meals, clean up dining room and kitchen after meal, assisting cook with preparing foods.
Evening hours are 5pm-8pm. Weekend and holiday rotation required for this position. Any holiday worked is paid at DOUBLE time.
