Job Summary The CPS Evening Shift I&A Specialist will be responsible for responding to emergency situations and providing crisis intervention, as well as investigating serious reports of abuse or neglect-including sexual abuse, human trafficking, and out-of-family incidents. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families by interviewing children, parents, guardians, and collateral contacts. Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, the candidate will evaluate risk and safety, develop safety and service plans, and ensure the well-being of children while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and regulations, including documentation standards for completeness and timeliness. This position requires agility and resilience, as it involves urgent, high-stakes decision-making to ensure child safety. The ideal candidate will help foster a supportive, team-oriented environment and demonstrate the ability to motivate and promote collaboration among colleagues. The work is conducted in a progressive, change-sensitive setting that demands adaptability to shifting priorities, goals, and community needs. In this role, you will: Provide individual, family and group therapy services for a culturally diverse population of adolescents and their families. Your Background: We understand that you may obtain skills through a variety of professional, personal, educational, and volunteer experiences. Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field At least one (1) year of clinical experience in trauma focused psychotherapy such as work with torture survivors; victims of sexual offenses, domestic violence or any other trauma survivors; and work with families around attachment.
