Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

Job Duties:
Reading and interpreting production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and any other materials that summarize requirements for the grinding of rubber rolls.
Locating and retrieving rolls to the grinding production area utilizing overhead cranes and various materials handling equipment.
Preparing the individual rolls for installation in the grinding equipment, utilizing knives to trim back rubber from the rollers prior to installing the rollers into the equipment, cleaning steel surfaces of rollers using hand or mechanical equipment, cleaning steel surfaces of rollers using hand or mechanical equipment, such as die-grinders or sheet abrasive/polishing materials.
Setting the grinding equipment, installing special grinding wheels or attachments, adjusting and setting tooling on tool posts, installing live-centers, chucks centers, extensions, dogs, etc.
Aligning the rollers in the equipment to meet all dimensional requirements of job order. This includes adjustment for taper, TIR, roller surface finish, and finish dimensions.
Measure all required dimensions and understand the relationship of the dimensions to the specific requirements of the job.
Utilize all inspection and measurement equipment per procedure and instruction, including durometer gauges, pi-tapes, P&J gauges, micrometers, vernier diameter tapes, dial indicators, profilometers, temperature-indicating devices, and others as needed.
Complete the grinding operation and inspect the finished product to ensure that all requirements are met.
Complete all necessary paperwork, inspection reports, job router information, and operator sign-off on job.
Clean all metal and rubber surfaces prior to protective wrapping.
Unload the grinding equipment safely and without damage or harm to personnel, equipment or finished product.
Deliver the finished product to a designated storage area or shipping container.

Responsibilities
Operational Communication:
Regularly communicate with the Shift Supervisor, especially when packaging supplies need replenishing.
Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor, Cold End Coordinator, and Maintenance teams to address equipment issues and ensure preventative maintenance or repairs are performed promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
Stay informed on plant and safety matters by actively participating in department and plant safety meetings.
Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and promoting safety awareness.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in efforts to improve product quality, environmental sustainability, and health & safety standards.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance. This is a key qualification, due to the unusual nature of the operation.
To perform this job successfully, individuals must demonstrate the following:
Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and understand English.

Operational Effectiveness Tester
The Operational Effectiveness Tester is responsible for independently validating that security, privacy, and technology controls operate effectively in real-world conditions, not just on paper or during audits. This role focuses on evidence-based testing, regulatory exposure, and risk across complex, hybrid environments.
The tester evaluates controls end-to-end, identifies systemic weaknesses, and translates technical failures into clear regulatory and business risk for leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Test design and operating effectiveness of controls across people, process, and technology
Perform end-to-end walkthroughs and re-performance of technical controls
Evaluate evidence quality, favoring system-generated proof over screenshots or attestations
Identify patterns of control failure and assess severity based on regulatory exposure
Test identity, access, and privileged controls, including joiner/mover/leaver processes
Validate security and privacy controls across on-prem, cloud, hybrid, and vendor environments
Assess privacy, data protection, and consent controls involving sensitive data
Support regulatory readiness by aligning testing to enforcement expectations, not theory

Principal Responsibilities
* General knowledge of extruders and associated equipment such as hopper and material loader, extruder vacuum system, regrind loaders and carbon black feeders.
* General knowledge of water baths including vacuum and spray tanks and the ability to change water bags.
* General knowledge of pipe printers including print code requirements, cleaning the print head, adding ink and make-up fluids and changing the operators initials and shift code.
* General knowledge of saws including the ability to make adjustments for proper saw cut and how to clean the shavings vacuum system where applicable.
* General knowledge of bellers and run off tables with the ability to make minor adjustments as required.
* Ability to make quality checks using micrometers, calibers, pi-tapes and tape measures. Print line compliance, I.D. & O.D. appearance, bell specifications, and proper length of pipe, saw cut and 8-point wall checks.

Field Operating: Driving the van to delivery points, ensuring safe and efficient deployment of robots to and from the van and supporting the robot on its delivery drives, with a focus on meeting our delivery volume targets.
Intervention and Safety: Perform the critical safety responsibility of intervening and controlling the robot in the unlikely event that the autonomy or remote supervision fails. In addition, safely driving the van vehicles and adhering to traffic laws and regulations at all times.
Public Interactions: The Field Operator role is very much the "human face" of RIVR as it is likely to be the most common way that members of the public will interact with our robots. Therefore professionally handling different situations and interactions with members of the public in live operations is a key responsibility of the role.
Data & Feedback: As we are building and scaling operations in Austin, a requirement of this role is to collect data and feedback from the field and communicate this to various internal teams with the view to improve operational efficiency, safety and value for our partners.
Varia: Assisting with the onsite team to build and scale the Austin operations by helping out with hub-based tasks and offering support when needed to technical and remote operations teams when required.

Primary Responsibilities:
After an onboarding process of learning safety protocols and performing clean-up duties throughout the manufacturing plant, production team members will transition to a work system, where they will be responsible for safely operating equipment used to make oriented strand board; troubleshooting mechanical issues; actively participating in problem-solving sessions; producing a quality product and required efficiencies consistently; and cross-training on different machine centers. Production team members are expected to strive for maximum potential, both as individuals and as part of a production team.
Job Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to apply. He/she must have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills and computer proficiency. A background in an industrial environment is preferred. All RoyOMartin facilities are smoke-free. Manufacturing plants are not climate-controlled and are representative of working conditions commonly associated with other industrial workplaces. Employees working outdoors may encounter rain, wind, and other elements. Good housekeeping is expected in all areas. Due to production requirements, much work is fast-paced. In all situations, employees are expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements for his/her workstation. No job is so important that it cannot be performed safely.
Schedule:
RoyOMartin production facilities operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with most production team members working a 12-hour shift. Individuals must be able to work rotating shifts (including holidays) and must be available for scheduled and unscheduled overtime as a condition of employment.
