Skilled Machine Operators are responsible in the production process of making high quality cookware. In this seat you'll set up and operate auto feeders (buffers and draw presses), rotary and single head sanders, hydraulic presses, hilite sunray machines and brazers. The primary result expected from Machine Operator position is to operate rotational molding machines as designated under the supervision and direction of operations leadership. The Machine Operator will monitor the quality of the plastics parts after they are demolded to ensure the parts are to quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates rotational molding machine to meet or exceed plant metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale/Inventory
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
Performs but not limited to the following tasks: material filling, deburring, molding, all bench operations, and inspection of product
