Operate augers, belt conveyors, blenders, tumblers, fluid bed dryers and various liquid and dry loading systems. Data recording and project tracking Cooperate with product development teams to establish target specifications. Keep detailed records of inclusions, processes, and results. Refine and improve processes to reach desired specifications. Participate in counts of materials onsite. Daily maintenance and cleaning of fertilizer facility May unload or move materials. Make batch plant operations and blend custom fertilizers. Fill out proper documentation for blend sheets. Monitor all tanks that are being pumped into or out of for leaks, spills, or damage. Ensure all equipment is working properly. Make sure the tank is properly stickered for warnings, deposit and tank testing. Wear proper safety equipment per SDS sheets of chemical being handled by an employee. Help with random sampling for fertilizer analysis accuracy. Work with production leads on awareness and management of any contaminated loads Chemicals utilized at this branch require the use of a full-face respirator when producing specifics products, must be able to pass the pulmonary test. Make sure all containers are properly cleaned (CPIs) and documented. Making sure all pumps and valves are labeled correctly, whether it be on or off, open or close, or the correct chemical name Attend product training sessions and meetings when necessary. Granulation and drying Hoop houses Monitoring product applications, calculating amounts, calibrating equipment, controlling applications, and operating equipment to blend fertilizers such as: pumps. Railcar cleaning Repairing and washing totes Harvest seasonal crops. Screening lignite product Toting product Jugging and bagging product Handling wastewater Other work-related duties as assigned. The Line Operator 2 serves as the front line of the production operation and is responsible for the basic operations of the extrusion lines and will assist with training new hires in the process. As they continue to expand their knowledge by learning to operate various production lines, the Line Operator 2 works to develop a more in-depth understanding of quality standards. The Line Operator 2 must be knowledgeable of and follow all procedures needed to ensure the proper safe and efficient operation of their production line. Position works under established guidelines and company policy. RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Performs basic production duties such as loading cores onto the core table; pulling trim; adjusting roll widths; preparing the finished product by pulling, lifting, labeling, and packaging the finished stretch film rolls, Inspecting the visual quality of the rolls and removing rolls that don't meet established quality standards, has gained a thorough understanding of roll weight computer systems and their use to accurately weigh rolls and/or boxes of finished product; reporting finished products on required documents; cutting and preparing scrap bins for recycling. * Prepares product for shipping by setting up the skids with required packaging materials, and packing trays or boxes with finished rolls, could involve manually pre-wrapping trays with stretch film before being sent to the automated wrapper or wrapping them by hand depending on plant procedures, moving completed skids through the safe and effective use of manual and electric pallet jacks. * May begin to train on and perform duties on various lines, rewinders, and other required areas of the production floor to increase knowledge and fulfill staffing needs. * Trains on quality standards and controls, may begin training to perform quality testing and complete tasks in the quality lab including Shift Testing; completing quality control paperwork accurately following established standards, and reporting quality test results to Management to ensure quality standards are being met. * Assists with ensuring the line operates continuously, coordinating shift change activities, and notifying Sr. Operators, the Team Manager, or other Management of any issues. * Assists with training new Line Operators when placed on the production line. * Maintain housekeeping on the line to ensure a clean work environment; ensure the work area is prepared and ready for shift change. * Performing any other duties as requested or assigned by Management. * The Salary range is reflective of a Line Operator 1 with Step progression 1 - 13 as required for transparency under the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act. Shift: 2nd - 3pm-11:30pm Title of Supervisor: Production Supervisor Position Summary: Operate forklift to assist in the processing of fruit. Responsibilities: Load & offload trucks sorting bins and staging for production. Document arriving & departing trucks or loads. Move incoming materials to proper location or storage area. Label and prepare loads for shipment. Conduct inventory on fruit product and plant supplies. Introduce the raw material into the process and orderly disposition of empty fruit bins. Maintain a safe and courteous driving attitude. Others duties as assigned. Position that backs up this role during absence: Any other trained employee. JOB REQUIREMENTS: The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the Forklift position. Role in Food Safety: Follow plant GMP's at all times, ensure work area is secure and monitor and document fruit receiving CCP. A. Physical Requirements: Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down. Ability to steer using steering wheel. Ability to move right arm/hand forward and backwards to move the gear that moves forks up and down. Ability to apply pressure on gas and brake pedals using right and left legs/feet. Ability to get on and off the forklift several times per day (fueling, do paperwork). Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. B. Non-Physical Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: Minimum one year experience in the fruit industry preferred. Experience with forklifts and bin dumpers preferred. Special Skills: Ability to high stack bins. Must have good communication skills. Ability to work any shift. A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
