Fabricate and assemble metal parts by cutting, shaping, and welding components. Other duties as needed. Skills and Abilities: Proven experience as an Industrial technician, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment. Strong electrical knowledge and experience with industrial electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Certifications or technical training in mechanics and electrical systems is a plus Education and Experience: 2-3 years experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting (highly preferred). A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Knowledge of metal properties and appropriate welding techniques. Proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or flux-core welding. In Depth knowledge of electrical systems, machinery and circuitry. University Place in Orem, UT is hiring for general building and grounds maintenance positions. Person must be knowledgeable about general building maintenance with some some knowledge in few of the following areas: Electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, HVAC repair, vehicle and equipment maintenance, welding and fabricating, and sprinkler and landscape repair. Person must be handy and have a basic knowledge and ability to repair buildings and exterior grounds improvements. An understanding of general building construction would be helpful. Person must be physically able to lift, climb ladders, use hand tools, operate equipment safely, and have a drivers license.Full time position with benefits.Summary of Duties Keep grounds free of debris and assist with snow removal as needed. Maintain property vehicles and equipment. Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance projects. Responds to building-related safety concerns. The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Minimum Qualifications Must be dependable.
