Responsibilities
Under the direction and supervision of the RN, LVN or Charge RN assist the licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care including assistance with activities of daily living. Supports the unit functions and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors and co-workers; functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team and communicates pertinent patient information to the supervising RN. Performs some clerical duties as assigned and provides basic nursing care for the adult and geriatric patients. Performs responsibilities within the guidelines of the Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy and state regulatory and accrediting requirements.

Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment

Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician

Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms
Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected
In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume
Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit
Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping
Ensure accuracy in documentation
Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed

Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)

In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume

Unlicensed laboratory personnel may not perform instrument calibration or review quality control results to monitor the performance of the instrument or test procedure. The Laboratory Assistant: 1) performs computer entry, filing, telephone communication and other clerical duties, 2) demonstrates good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner, 3) possesses good communication skills, 4) demonstrates adequate knowledge of the terminology of tests ordered in the laboratory, 5) demonstrates a good working knowledge of phlebotomy and the equipment used in collecting specimens from newborns to geriatric patients, 6) processes pathology, microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank specimens, 7) processes specimens for reference laboratory, 8) stocks and orders routine supplies, 9) keeps storage areas, trays, centrifuges, and collection areas clean, 10) processes or places specimens on laboratory instruments in accordance with established policy and procedures, 11) with proper documented training the laboratory assistant may perform, instrument preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, assist in quality control procedures, perform, primary culture inoculations, stain slide preparations, and subculture from liquid media. 11) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director, ie monitor, mail, fax, answer phone, inter departmental deliveries. Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. HS Diploma or Equivalent required
2. Minimum 1-year clinical laboratory experience performing similar job functions preferred
3. State Certified as CPT I or CPT II if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
4. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.

The Center Medical Director supports the Director of Medical Operations by providing exceptional clinical care delivery within the center, consistent with Concentra's clinical model, and ensuring optimal clinical outcomes for our workforce patient population. As Medical Director for the center, you will share responsibilities with the Center Leadership Team that includes onboarding, coaching, ensuring that standard workflows are followed, and clinical delivery is best in class. Responsibilities
100% center-based providing direct patient care, mentoring, leading by example, and demonstrating clinical excellence and an exceptional patient experience.
Collaborates under Director of Medical Operations (DMO) direction to identify opportunities to improve clinical quality, workflows, safety, center performance, patient and client experience and satisfaction metrics, or other facets of the practice.
Works with the Center Leadership and director teams (primarily DMO and Director of Clinical Services (DCS) to identify clinical improvement opportunities and ensure appropriate support and workflow compliance that foster an environment optimal for patient care.
Maintains and leverages relationships with employers, payers, referral sources, networks, and local communities to drive market growth.
Assists DMO and EA in managing center staffing and adjustments for unforeseen coverage needs
May be required to observe drug/alcohol testing of patients
