This position is housed at the Hamblen County Campus and requires both office-based clinical and administrative work and community-based clinical interactions.
The Crisis Stabilization Unit Team Leader will be responsible for engaging clients, peers, and community members in a professional and therapeutic manner.
JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities include supervision of resident counselors, transportation, and peer specialist staff on the CSU.
This will involve direct clinical supervision and managing scheduling for the unit.
The Team leader will provide direct front-line and coverage on the unit.
The Team Leader will also serve as liaison with CSU Reception Center Staff in assisting with admission and discharge planning that will include coordination with transportation staff and liaisons with community agencies, ER, law enforcements, etc. for post CSU services.
Serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing treatment, rehabilitation, and support for client population.
Introduce and teach key recovery concepts through Illness Management and Recovery Groups to include Team Solutions and WRAP.
Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Due to CSU and WIC being 24 hours/7 days per week programming, the following expectation is applied to all staff working in these programs.
All staff will be present and on time for shift in order to relieve previous shift.
All staff will stay on shift until relief coverage arrive.
All staff have been briefed on the nature of the programming and understand that shifts must be covered in order to keep our staff and clients safe.

Summary of Position:
Serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team and provides direct care through crisis services including evaluation, crisis counseling, triage, and discharge planning.
Completes intakes and supporting documentation for possible more restrictive placements, provides phone triage, and one on one therapeutic interventions with individuals admitted to EmPATH.
Typical Working Conditions/Environment
Working conditions consist of a 16-lounge bed unit.
Hours of operation are 24/7.

Role and Responsibilities
* Complete the admission procedures, which may include the completion of paperwork, orientation of the individual and monitor urinalysis collection.
* Thoroughly searches individuals' belongings upon admission and properly disposes of any forbidden items.
* Administer and read the tuberculosis skin test.
* Document in the individual's chart the results of the nursing assessment, treatment plan, physician's orders, progress notes and other individual-related data.
* Provide direct care to the individuals we serve.
* Monitors for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
* Provide medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management to individuals served in the Detoxification Unit under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
* Monitoring for changes in condition.
* Maintaining hygienic and safe work environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures.
* Maintain all necessary documentation.
* Update and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records.
* Manage and administer medication as ordered by the Medical Director.
* Providing directions to the technicians on assigned shift.
* Develop a treatment plan with the individual to address medical issues.
* Provide emotional support through listening, counseling and answering questions.
* Consult with in-house staff and other outside professionals to assure comprehensive, quality care for clients.
* Provide referrals for identified needs of the individual that cannot be met by the Agency.
* Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.
* All other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Must hold an unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia.
* Requires current certifications in CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.
* Prefer 1 year of detox, emergency or med-surge nursing experience preferred.
* Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
