Title: Warehouse Laborer Department: Self Perform Reports to: Warehouse Manager, Self Perform Direct Reports: N/A Location: Bridgewater, MA Status: Full Time/Exempt Years of Experience: 0-2 Job Title: Warehouse Laborer Essential Functions: The Warehouse Laborer will help organize, stock, and work in Callahan's warehouse and will support all needs including stocking, inventory, counting, sorting, packing/unpacking of warehouse products in support of Callahan's team. Main Job Duties Promote the Callahan safety culture and always lead by example Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand and/or by using equipment such as a forklift Counting, sorting, packing and unpacking products of various sizes and weights to ensure that shipments are safe and accurate Keeping inventory of products in the warehouse and ensuring that all items are in the correct place and ordered as needed Keeping the warehouse neat, clean, and organized Working with others within the warehouse and the larger Callahan staff to ensure that product is available as needed Great partnership within the warehouse and with warehouse and team managers to ensure daily functions and procedures are completed accurately and on time Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency Excellent organizational and time management skills Team player and ability to get along with others Valid driver's license Clean driving record - this role will be required to submit annual motor vehicle records checks Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs. or more) All qualified applicants will be afforded equal opportunity. The Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a landfill. Responsibilities may include yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties. The starting pay range for this position is $18-$20 per hour. Key Responsibilities * Sorts all incoming loads to assure materials are accepted and handled appropriately for disposal. * Inspects work areas and incoming loads to ensure all materials are in full compliance with facility and material acceptance standards. * Directs incoming and outgoing transportation to ensure it is controlled to comply with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements. * Cleans and fuels equipment as needed. * Establishes and maintains a high level of professionalism in the areas of facility management and compliance. * Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
