Position Summary The Metrology Technician (Instrumentation Technician) is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex laboratory, process, and utility instrumentation in a cGMP facility. Working in a primarily paperless environment, this role collaborates closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Automation teams to ensure equipment reliability. This position handles moderately complex assignments, requiring sound judgment in problem-solving and making routine recommendations to management. While routine tasks are performed independently, general instructions are provided for new assignments. Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, customer request, and corrective instrumentation work orders in support of the LOTTE BIOLOGICS Syracuse bio campus. Perform instrumentation work on liquid level, temperature, pressure, liquid flow, gas flow, speed, control valves, I/P transducers, solenoids, PLC's, distributed I/O systems, and other manufacturing and utility system instrumentation. Proficiency with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). General understanding of operating principles of industrial instrumentation and control systems. Knowledge of basic relay ladder logic, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control systems.
