A daily substitute is responsible for the management and instruction of a classroom in the absence of their regular teacher. This includes, but is not limited to, following and delivering provided lesson plans, managing classroom behaviors, supervision of students, and assignment of classwork and homework. The substitute may act as a teacher or an aide, depending on the needs of the school. Literacy/Math Tutor (Title I grant-funded to the end of this school year) REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Title I Director SALARY: $25.00 per hour HOURS: 19.5 hours per week, until the end of this school year QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree preferably in education (minimum) * Excellent interpersonal and collaborative problem solving skills. * Successful prior experience working with general education students. * Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning and the ability to apply these practices. * Ability to plan student lessons and work independently with individuals and groups. * Commitment to the District's goals & school improvement plan goals.
